Major launcher problems

Launcher/pack Version:1.0.1.3

Operating System:Windows 7 64 bit

Version of Java: Jre 7 64 bit

Description of Problem:1: Technic launcher loads up successfully and states i can play but tells me that i need to update in witch if i say yes it says update failed,no makes it so i can't play multi player,

2: Technic launcher loads up successfully but every time i try to log in it will say update failed,

3: Technic launcher loads up successfully but will say it can't connect to Minecraft.net,or

4: will not load up at all and stop at the banner that says Technic launcher.

Antivirus Program: Microsoft security essentials

Error Message: Update failed

Please use the proper format e.g. launcher version and so on...

i am using 1.0.1.3 version of the Technic launcher

64bit of windows 7

64bit of jre7

and my anti virus is Microsoft security essentials

hopefully that solves any misunderstandings

i started having this problem when the server i played on started giving me only one chunk to play on because it would not load the others

thanks but i found out why it was not letting me log in

I had a virus that wouldn't let me connect to Minecraft called relevant knowledge
