The E button goes funny. Can't put things in hotkeys

When I run a new technic pack survival mode world, i can play for a few hours, and then by it self the inventory goes weird and I can't place stuff in the hotkeys, they just goes automaticly up to the crafting slots, so basically, i can't play at all when this happens.

I tried deleting the .jar file this didn't help and I have tried making a new world, but the same thing happens after a few hours of playing.

can anyone help me?

If you mean after a playing a few hours straight, it might be a warning that you're becoming addicted ^_^

But does anyone have anything to offer on this? Read the stickies or whatnot, no fix to it there..

try tapping the shift key. with the way LWJGL works, keys can get "stuck" and still be registered as being pressed despite being released. When you tap the key, it detects the release, and resets.
