Players disconnecting "Socket closed"

Description of Problem: My players are being randomly disconnected despite me having the proper ports open in my firewall and router.

This type of console spam occurs generally when a player force-closes their game instead of using the standard method (Escape -> Quit Game). This includes computer crashes, restarts, java crashes, and Alt+F4 (or "forced termination") of the Minecraft client.

This can also occur with network errors.
