I can connect to server but friends cant?

Ok so i can run and go on my server fine and the server is running smooth but when my friends use the ip it says that my server is not on at all?

I'm guessing your server and client are on the same computer. That probably means you're not port-forwarding correctly, or you have a firewall that is blocking incoming connections to the Minecraft port. You should give a little more detail, such as that found in the bug report format sticky.

...or read one of the numerous threads regarding port forwarding, internal and external IPs, and such; then post back with what you've done.

In other words, basic troubleshooting.
