Technic won't launch even after deleting .technic file and reinstalling Java

I'm running Win10 and have been trying for a couple weeks to fix my Technic Launcher. I was trying to play Blightfall with a friend of mine, but then I had to go and update Java and allocate more RAM to Technic.I put like 7 gigs to the launcher, and had to leave the computer, so I shut it down. Next day, I try to launch Technic and it doesn't launch. Confusion led to frustration which led to web-surfing for weeks and now I'm here. I've tried all the methods I've seen both on these forums, planetminecraft, youtube, etc. Nothing's worked so far, but I hope someone can help.

if you put 7gb of RAM on the launcher, then that is your issue. Java is crap in handling large amounts of memory and will crash.

2-4 gb of RAM is enough for Blightfall

what java version do you have installed? Java 9 is incompatible with Forge, so make sure you have java 8u161

Ah, that might be it. I'm running Java 9. I'll see if that fixes the problem, thank you!
