  1. Well sounds awesome, once it is up I will definitely get most of my faction (The Sentinel Alliance) to check it out, looking forward to it. Also if you need any technical help I do have a lot of experience with server administration.
  2. Can you please help me with my tekkit 3.1.2 server, I have factions, but the permissions aren't working.

    I am using essentials groupmanager. I also use 1.2.5R4 for all my plugins. Factions and a few others aren't working with essentials though.

  3. Hi I need your help on my server. If you are willing. it is a new tekkit server the ip is 188.165.120.105:25565. I would like to know if you can help me set up the factions and such. I hav most things I built my spawn and have some people on it. Thank you

  5. You are right that the Tekkit community and Technic pack team are still very much alive and I am sure that Technic Multiplayer will continue in some form but unless Bukkit and Forge cooperate there will be no such thing as Tekkit.
  6. Unless Bukkit and Forge get back together this date marks the death of Tekkit. Some may argue that Tekkit will continue on forge but it will no longer be Tekkit as the name of Tekkit derived from Bukkit + Technic. If you want to know more check out KakerMix's article (http://www.technicpack.net/forgebukkit-project-is-likely-dead/) or look at the other post on this forum that explains some more (http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/unpleasant-news-for-the-future-of-tekkit.29736/). I hope Tekkit gets back from this but it is looking pretty grim right now. If you have any thoughts on this or even anything that you think could solve the problem please post it here.
  7. More people really need to know about this fix there are about 4 threads below that have the exact same issue. Remember there are bug threads and if it is a problem with the Launcher then look under 'Technic Launcher Bugs/Problems' and you will probably find something.
  8. I just tested on my local server and it seems to work for me. First does it say "[Monster apocalypse] Enabling Monster Apocalypse v<0.0.1> " if it does then it is most likely not an error. Secondly are you sure you have set all of the enable things to true in the config and not just changing the mob settings. Like at the beginning it says "Enable all other monster properties?:" that should be set to true, there are also several other things like this in the front of the config that need to be turned to true.
  9. LWC is like lockette but can be configured to support Tekkit containers.
  10. If you are looking for a plugin to rollback and log blocks then Core Protect is what you want. Here. Easy to install and has support for most modded blocks. It is the best plugin I have been able to find for this purpose and is a real essential for a public Tekkit server.
  11. Have you used the plugin successfully before? If you have not then you may have forgotten to enable it. By default all features of the plugin are disabled and must be enabled in the config.yml for the plugin make any change to bukkit/tekkit. If that is the reason and you need any help with the config.yml setup then just say, I have experience configuring Monster Apocalypse.
  12. That would all depend on the error you are getting if it says something like "You are missing the following mods:" then most likely the server and client versions are mismatched. If that is the case then the easiest way to get on without updating the server is for you to click 'Options' (just below 'Login') on the Technic Launcher and change the mod pack build to whatever server build your brother's server is. Your post is a bit vague though so I am not sure if that is the problem you are getting.
  13. Yep Microsoft control everything that goes on Xbox it is not a good modding environment, it would be incredibly hard to get all of the mods licensed on to Xbox. And anyway Xbox can't handle it. Have you seen the article PC graphics '24 times times more powerful then Xbox 360'? and that is now an old model of graphics card it was compared to. There is no argument that the current Xbox is way too weak for mods and even arguably Minecraft at all. Mix that with the fact that the crafting system and controls are so slow and not made for Xbox like Xylord and Video boy said... And you get a lot of factors against Minecraft mods for Xbox. Xbox may get better later on but it is unlikely. I think Microsoft are happy keeping the Xbox as primitive as it is now. After all it can run most games locked on minimum settings and since no one seems to even see the difference on minimum setting let alone complain, why would they change it. Plus Xbox getting better by much means that it will cost more, It costing more means that it is closer to the price of a PC and it being closer to the price of a PC means that people might take the extra jump of a few hundred pounds when they see the vast superiority of the PC.
  14. Thanks Stevolution, I am less annoyed at Notch and more at Microsoft. Mojang undoubtedly deserves the money that they got from it and I too have some experience with programming so know how hard it is to make a game like Minecraft.
