You don't need to bind the server to a specific IP-address, you can use "server-ip=0.0.0.0" to bind it to all adapters. Minecraft uses TCP unlike many other game servers. You forwarded a TCP port? Last but not least - You have a software firewall on your pc and opened it for incoming connections?

As I recall, the block breaker does not deliver directly to a chest, you need a piece of tube between them.

At a quick look at Tekkit Lite I saw that WorldEdit, Essentials, WorldBoarder ... is integrated as plugin for Modloader by default. Bukkit seems to be legacy ... :)

Ok, ok - these switches saved a pvp tournament on a netparty ^^ I'm running 8 Minecraft Server, Tekkit, Craftbukkit and Vanilla. My experience with such experiments are bad, for a stable server you only need the switch -Xmx (regardless if your at a netparty). Java 7 (1.7.x) optimize all for you, in the days of 1.4 this was different.

Java 1.4 is about 10 years old, you should use Java 1.7, with this version all these switches are obsolete. Welcome to 2012!

"... You'll probably go from around 70% to 20% cpu usage ..." And when you use this shit twice it will run a 100.000 slot Tekkit Server with 0,0000% CPU usage on a electronic calculator - for sure! This is my command line: -Xmx{MAX_MEMORY}M That's all you need. When your server lags, get better hardware!

That's an problem with the IO performance of the machine. Monitor the disk IOs and find witch task lags your machine every 20 minutes.

Solution

I'm fairly new to Tekkit, we are playing it since about 4 weeks on our own server. When we found the possibilities of EE we were first happy about to be so rich, but after a while it gets boring. We stopped mining and throw diamonds in the recycler just for the LULZ, the value of expensive items was gone and we stopped searching for it. So we throw all our Red Matter an the enormous amount of diamonds in the recycler an I disabled EE completely -> The fun is back again, we learned our lesson :)

You tried to join a second time after somebody teleport you? Have you tried to join another server? Another possible fix is to delete your player data from the world ([world]/players/[player].dat)

Are you able to join another server? The white screen is often caused by a corrupted chunk you are spawning in. When you join the server, somebody should teleport you to another place.
