1. ...That's what I missed. I completely missed the bit where I can set the version number. Changing that fixed all my problems.
2. I'd be interested in this as well, and I'd like to know what I need to do to make my modpack update. I've updated the file in my repository, but clients aren't downloading the update unless they delete my modpack and then re-add it. Any thoughts?
3. Depends...what OS is the server running? Once you know that, try searching google for "<your distro name> install java 7"
4. Title: World not loading Version: 3.1.2 OS: Ubuntu Server 12.04 Java Version: 1.7 Description of Problem: Recently there had been an issue where players would get disconnected with a "internal exception java.net.socketexception read timed out" error. The server will still respond to console commands, and list the players that were connected, but all players are disconnected, and their clients can't connect to the server. There is no error output from the server, just the timeout message that the clients get. This problem persists until the server is restarted. I updated to the newest Tekkit version hoping this would fix it, and instead it made it worse. Now, when the first player connects, they fall in the void, and the server becomes unreachable (and they time out with the same error as before). This seems to have something to do with the specific world, because if I generate a new world, things work normally. Error Messages: internal exception java.net.socketexception read timed out Error Log: none
