An update for everyone, The server is experiencing the long running IC2 Halloween bug, will fix soon Update for those who have not checked on the server. The server is set to Peaceful with mob spawning disabled until the end of Nov 1st. On the second it will return to normal.

Generic-Land is a survival server and all players must make their items legitimately. Quarries Quarries are not allowed in the over-world. Players found placing them will be banned from using, making, or even holding a quarry. Building Rules Large Projects Try to build in an area where your projects will have room to grow. Claim all your land early; if you think you need extra claim blocks ask a mod or admin. Be prepared to show why you should get extra blocks faster than the other players. Don’t crowd other players. Home Abandonment If you plan on packing up and moving to a new area or just want a fresh start, ask an admin/mod to reset your area. If you have a work of art or other addition to the server we will admin claim it and let you have your claim blocks back. A 14 day limit for claims owned by players not logged in has been put into place, after that time claims may be cleared if they are not built up. Make it look nice We try to keep the server looking nice, please helps us keep it that way. Buildings should not look like cobble stone boxes. Lazy-man construction will be asked to be fixed or removed. Consider adding a fence and some flower or windows to your projects to add beauty to the server. Working with others When working with other players, be nice, be helpful, be smart. With grief prevention you can allow others to build or have access to your claims. If a dispute occurs, the owner of the claim will generally be the person the admins side with, exceptions can be made if evidence is provided. The bug was with MCPC+ version we were using and an update to the MC auth server. Its all fixed now(well actually about 2 weeks ago), Also updated all the mods to their most current but still 1.6.4 versions. Enjoy and have fun.

Well guys I have bad news. The host i use says their server had a "critical failure" and that the data is lost. This will take us a few days to work on but as of right now the world is a total loss. Their response is that they will credit the server for 7 days worth of time for the inconvenience, its almost insulting for the amount of time lost for everyone involved. I will keep everyone updated as we move forward, please give a little bit to see what can be salvaged, but I did not have a local copy of the world file... So I apologize but it will end up being a complete re-install. As always you can hit me up on steam or vent and i will try to help, but i run the server when I am not at work/school so best times to reach me would be 5-10pm weekdays and weekends are kinda random.

Hey guys, Another over due update. I have just finished moving and spend 10 days with out internet... yes it was hard. Looks like i have alot to catch up on. OK update on the reset. I have copied over the players houses that were on or left me a location. Talk to an admin to get it pasted. (admins use //schem list to see them all) Spawn looks great, but needs some work still. Server shop and economy are a work in progress. Look for updates in the next couple days. PVP arena is open and attached to spawn. players do lose money for being killed in the arena, the killer revives some money as a reward. Players caught using gear that is not allowed in the arena will be banned from having them at all. Fight fair and may the best player win. Mining world is active, please use the portal that is straight ahead from /spawn. I'm sure there are more things that i forgot that should be listed. Ender, I have reset your toon but i saved your stuff. Please check with lof or myself to get the chest of your items. To would be greifers and trouble makers, boo on you.

Hey guys, Been a very busy last 2 weeks. Got a lot of dental work done and a lot of time with school and work. but you don't need all the details. Sorry for the delays, I have reset everyone who posted in this thread (that needed it) and I have some updates for the server status. Don't use the mining word, you can use a quarry in the over world until the restart, March 31 (unless it is moved up) I can move the restart date up and prob will as the server is empty most days, post if you have any feeling one way or the other. I am thinking March 7th, thats a week from today. Suggestions for the server are welcome, please post plugins that you would find useful or helpful to the server. Please note that we are using MCPC+. Way too early in the morning update, Server is throwing an id error, i will look into it when i get home, sorry guys. -update- Not sure if it was a greifing attempt, but the server was having a fit with Item ID's. I am able to connect now, let me know if you all are still having issues.

Thank you for your diligence. Also the server is down currently due to complications with the host, I have been hard resetting the server and cannon access the web admin. I will update when everything is back to normal. To give you an quick note on the above link, the post says that IC2 added a Halloween event that spawns a mob, this mob when spawned crashes the server. So, I will be setting the server to peaceful for the next couple days. DO NOT get used to the easy going lifestyle... I will be putting it back Nov 2nd. Again Please send me any message you have about the server to my steam account that I linked a couple pages back. Please note this is my personal steam account, don't spam or get abusive. -update- I have regain access to the server but the IC2 spawn is causing the server to crash even in peaceful mode. I am looking into another workaround.

I have edited the logging system and purged some of the old data, server seems to be a lot less laggy. I have set it so it auto clear data more than 30 days old from logs to keep bloat down.

Server is up. I am not sure exactly why it keeps crashing when it goes for a restart. I am looking into it. Just a reminder to everone, Myst craft ages are not to be created, they are generally responsible for the restart issues (in my experience) Thanks everyone for playing. Hi guys. But of a downer update, but here it is. Generic-land has been griefed. I am not sure how but my account was compromised, allowing soundstormbbx to op himself and bypass all protections and blew the crap out of spawn. I have taken measured to prevent this happening again but there are people out there with no other goal in life other than to cause problems for others. Spawn building is currently Down along with the server shop. These facilities will be fixed asap, but will probably happen Sunday afternoon. If you have issues with griefing please talk to myself or kallimar24, he has been given perm to reimburse you for losses. DO NOT TRY TO GAME THE SYSTEM. I will gladly give people back items that were lost but do not attempt to abuse this, if i even suspect your are lying you will be denied, but, i trust *most* people on the server so i dont think this will be an issue.

The server crashing should have been fixed now, It was caused but some red power mischief and some ender chests. I hope the server has been otherwise stable and issue free. I am looking still for a couple of my current mods to step up to admins if any are interested.

Hey guys another weekend check in, Spawn is getting an overhaul to make the rules and other common questions freely available to everyone who logs into the server. The server is mostly sable after the issues with Angry and is his machines. I still receive a few errors that hang the server up, but htey have not been happening while i am on for me to check exactly whats causing the crashes. So far i have determined the 2 most common issues. 1 is a failure to shutdown for a reset, the server will throw and error that am looking into. 2 is a general lag out. This will not post any error and will just freeze the server, much harder to fix as i cant not find a cause. In response to the quarry issues, I don't have solution as i cant not replicate the problem when following the suggest fix. I have had no problems when i use a quarry and a chunk loader in the same chunk as the quarry block. I have mined 3 quarries 64x64 down to bedrock thru many server restarts and have had no problems. This is a know bug with the buildcraft ver that tekkit lite uses. If anyone has better information please let me know and will try to fix it on the server side. Lastly. I am looking for more staff, both admins and mods. Please sent me a privet message. posting an app in this thread will just d/q you for not being able to follow directions.

Raven, if you have issues with my staff you are welcome to send me a message. Last i had heard you were being removed for griefing and i never have seen anything to the contrary. If you have an appeal, again send me a message directly. Same to all players with a grievance. Updates: Another weekend has arrived, and with it comes server changes. I will be changing server restarts from every 6 hours to every 4 hours in an effort to keep the server lag down. I have changed the chunk loaders (again, sorry) we will now be using Chicken Chunk's Loaders. These ones use an enchantment table to craft, making it harder for people with malice to leave them about the server causing harm. Also, these loaders have a higher limit of chunks loaded 25 now from 9 with the anchors. But, and there is always a "but" in life, they will remain loaded only when the owner is online. I may change this to allow Donors to have theirs loaded at all times as they are supporting the server. Spawn might have some changes as I plan to "rent" squares of land for people to build ornamental buildings to make spawn look nice. Admins will have final say over what stays and what is remove. These will be turned into admin claims and the creator(s) will have their names listed. This will be decorations not houses or stores. To my staff: I have been notified that some of the commands are not working. Please let me know in a message here on the forums. I will try to get all commands working this weekend, already Grief prevention commands have been fixed. General: To my players in general, staff and public alike, I only receive a few times a weeks to actually play the game. When I am on don't barrage me with a million issues, post them here in a message. I am a player just like all of you and would like to play some minecraft. Emergencies are obvious exceptions, I am the head admin and I will help if able, just dont ask me petty questions as soon as I log. Good news and bad news. I have detected the true source of the problem. The mod factorization's ore processing machines when combined with the mod Red Power's tubes causes a crash. This is the case at Angry emu's house. Because this is in same complex jef and lof occupy any time anyone logs on in that area it causes a crash. Currently my host is having an error or maintnence or something and i am locked out of the server config. As soon as it is back up i will work on removing the blocks in questions with doing as little damage as I can to the rest of the world.

server seems to be at least restarting on its own. I believe wireless red stone may be the problem child here. I had to remove all wireless red stone to get high's house to not crash the server when anyone when close to it. The lag was caused because someone managed to max out the server ram and cpu. I have my thoughts about this, and mostly I think it comes down to people using very in-efficient methods to create scrap for Mass Fabs. Most people seem to use regular cobblestone, and then they require massive amounts of items being created and moved around with pipes. For example i found a house that was had about 20 extruders that were just throwing items onto the ground then picking them up again with obsidian pipes. This example is a bad thing to do. Similarly, I had a few people still using the cob generators using block breakers, its just silly to use them with the new items from TE. The block breaker generators are a large source of lag as it requires around 5 updates for each cob removed. So the message here is this: Clean up your bases. Do not have a lot of items moving around in pipes if you can help it, extra items should turn off their generators, or at least be destroyed. Do not let items just dump onto the ground. I will be asking my mods to do some house inspections, do not give them trouble about it. If they ask you to change something, please accommodate them.
