Open server.properties and paste the entire file?
-
It's your antivirus and firewall then. You may have Windows Firewall on. Here's how to turn it off: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-vista/Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off Norton/Norton 360/Norton Antivirus/Norton Internet Security:http://www.sfrep.com/knowledgebase/?id=1269 AVG: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080816043929AAB4mQw Kaspersky: http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208280425

Does it let you connect using other computers?
-
It would be like so: 127.0.0.1:25565
-
Okay, now follow these steps. Open start menu, open Computer, open C:\Windows\system32 If you are on Windows 7 or Vista, click the bar at the top and select all the text and copy it Open start menu, right-click Computer, click Properties, click Advanced System Settings then click Environment Variables Under 'System variables' find Path. Click on it then click Edit If there is text already in value, add a ';' to the end. If not, skip this step In the box (or after the ';' if you done the previous step), paste Open Command Prompt and try typing ipconfig again.

Need some help building a website for my server.
UKSp0ng3 replied to C4L3N's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Just a suggestion; You can try free options like WordPress. They have a whole database of themes that you can customize to your liking. For instance, TechnicPack.net is using WordPress. It's easy to use and it's free too. Just need to install it on your web server. CPanel should also have Installous or some script like that, which can install WordPress for you easily. -
Go to C:\Windows\system32 and find the .exe file called 'ipconfig'. Tell me if it is there or not.
-
Your computer is strangely parsing some of the i's and converting them to '?'. In the config, use CTRL+F to find all the '?' and change them into i's.
-
Nonono, your external IP address. Open Command Prompt and type in 'ipconfig'. The 'IPv4 address' is your external IP. Try connecting to that.
-
Have you tried using your external IP address?
-
Last time I got "Connection refused: connect" is when for some reason I needed to add the port after it. Try 'localhost:YOURPORT'. 'YOURPORT' should be the port your server is running on. You can find this by looking in server.properties (open with Notepad).
-
Commands can still be used, just op yourself. /op YOURNAME using console. Then in-game, type a command (with a '/' infront of it) and it'll work. e.g: /kick Notch or /give YOURNAME 241 1

Tekkit crashes a few minutes after logging into my server
UKSp0ng3 replied to MateoAuditore's question in Tekkit Classic
We need an error log. -
Connect to 'localhost'.

Try running the standalone .jar (download at http://technicpack.net/download)
-
Solution Download minecraft.jar manually for the modpack you need. As some modpacks run on different Minecraft versions, please choose the modpack you want to use: Tekkit, Technic, Yogbox, Hack Slash Mine, Voxel Modpack Rename the minecraft.jar to minecraft_1.2.5.jar (Tekkit and Technic), minecraft_1.2.3.jar (Yogbox and Hack/Mine), minecraft_1.3.2.jar (Voxel Modpack) Place the renamed file into %APPDATA%\.techniclauncher\cache (you can open the start menu then type %APPDATA% for quick access). Launch the launcher, select your desired modpack and it should work. Video solution (click here)

Depends on your antivirus software. You may have Windows Firewall on though. Here's how to turn it off: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-vista/Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off Norton/Norton 360/Norton Antivirus/Norton Internet Security: http://www.sfrep.com/knowledgebase/?id=1269 AVG: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080816043929AAB4mQw Kaspersky: http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208280425
-
Just double click it. If it asks what you want to open the file with, choose 'Java Platform SE Binary'.
-
Try using the .jar version of the Technic Launcher. You can download it standalone from here.
-
This is a Tekkit problem, you have posted in the wrong section.

I crash on login, so here's an error report..
UKSp0ng3 replied to hjklyuiop's question in Technic Launcher
Yes, you changed it to a number that's still being used. It's basically a matter of being lucky. Keep changing the number till you find one that's not being used. Low numbers are usually common so try a high number (like 2000+) -

Go into your config file for Ender Storage and find the number '241'. Change it to a different number. -
That's not a Tekkit problem. Try disabling your AV and firewall. Or make an exception for Hamachi and Tekkit in your AV and firewall.
-
I'm guessing you're using Windows 8? Instead of opening the launcher via the .exe, try using the .jar located at C:\Users\....\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher Or you can download the .jar standalone from the Technic Pack website.
-
By the looks, another process is already using the file. Meaning that you have another instance of Technic Launcher open.
