  1. I think the error message pretty much speaks for itself.
  2. Disable your AV and firewalls then try again.
  3. You've probably downloaded the latest server files which are for the development version of Tekkit. Open the launcher Click 'Options' at the bottom right Click 'Use development builds' Login and if it asks to update, choose yes Try connecting to your server again
  4. Solution if the above solution doesn't work Download minecraft.jar manually for the modpack you need. As some modpacks run on different Minecraft versions, please choose the modpack you want to use: Tekkit, Technic, Yogbox, Hack Slash Mine, Voxel Modpack Rename the minecraft.jar to minecraft_1.2.5.jar (Tekkit and Technic), minecraft_1.2.3.jar (Yogbox and Hack/Mine), minecraft_1.3.2.jar (Voxel Modpack) Place the renamed file into %APPDATA%\.techniclauncher\cache (you can open the start menu then type %APPDATA% for quick access). Launch the launcher, select your desired modpack and it should work.
  5. Go to C:\Users\Richard\AppData\Roaming\logs, open the log file, and paste it here so we can see what the problem is. How to get to AppData if you are unsure If you are on Windows 7 or Vista, open the start menu and type '%APPDATA% This will take you to the Roaming folder. Open .techniclauncher and open the logs folder. But for some reason, it's saying your log folder is not in .techniclauncher, it's in Roaming. So try there too. Paste the log here Suggested solution (may not work): Download the .jar version of the launcher HERE Run it and see if it works
  6. Solution Download minecraft.jar manually for the modpack you need. Launch the launcher, select your desired modpack and it should work. Please, it would be helpful if you read the other threads about this issue, since there are so many.
  7. Look at the post I made. The modpacks are hyperlinks. They link to the correct Minecraft.jar for that modpack. Just click on the modpack you want to use and it'll download the Minecraft.jar compatible with that modpack.
  8. No, he means migrated. You can migrate your Minecraft.net account to become an actual Mojang account now. You use your email to sign in to Minecraft instead of your username once migrated. It's helpful if you have other Mojang games such as Cobalt.
  9. ^if that fails then: Download minecraft.jar manually for the modpack you need. I know you said you already tried the fix, but you stated that it won't work because you haven't played Tekkit before. It will work. The .techniclauncher folder is generated upon your first Technic Launcher launch. Just follow the instructions to the letter and it should work. That's if turning off Norton doesn't solve it though, so try the above solution first.

  11. Go to Options Choose 'Use development builds' Login When it asks if you want to update, choose Yes That's the only solution I can think of as the server is basically saying you need to update to be able to use it.
