  1. I'm guessing you are using the Minecraft launcher workaround?
  2. Can a mod please delete this post? Thanks.
  3. I knew that a shell script could do the same command that I typed in, but they're kind of annoying when you have folder names with spaces in them (I didn't want to put TechnicLauncher.jar on my desktop). Anyways, I renamed my folders and this worked like a charm. EDIT: Optifine will not run on Java 6. Does anyone know how to get Optifine working on Hexxit on a Mac using Java 7?
  4. [This is kind of off topic] That's not exactly what I meant... It was a discovery in the sense that LWJGL 2.9.0 works with Hexxit 1.0.5... If you read my other post, you'll know that it works with any Hexxit version as long as Optifine isn't installed.
  5. Ok, I finally understand the LWJGL 2.9.0 crash that I was experiencing. I was being really stupid and not realizing that I had Optifine installed, which caused this crash. Apparently, LWJGL 2.9.0 doesn't have a few OpenGL features (specifically those needed for HD textures) that Optifine wanted. So, to my fullest understanding, running Optifine on LWJGL 2.9.0 will cause a crash. If anyone knows a fix for this, then it would be great.
  6. Try updating Hexxit to 1.0.5 and then updating LWJGL. It worked for me. Creds for this discovery go to DMCmachine. Also, Optifine + Hexxit to 1.0.5 + LWJGL 2.9.0 causes a crash.
  7. Hm...the crazy jumble is exactly what I get, except Minecraft never loads. Lemme try and give it like 20 minutes. EDIT: (The following is an image meme; choose to click it at your discretion) Huzzah! With the Hexxit 1.0.5 update, updating LWJGL no longer causes me to crash!
  8. The orignal log that I posted is without Optifine... Also, the problem here has nothing to do with Optifine. I just checked and none of the modpacks launcher properly when I use the Technic Launcher...
  9. I don't think you completely uninstalled Java 7. Yeah, updating LWJGL can cause problems like that... In the past, it completely screwed up my Minecraft GUI. Give me a FML log of your original crash (on LWJGL 2.4.2). Maybe I can find another solution for you. You don't need to remove Java 7, you just need to put Java 6 as the default. Open system preferences and click on the java preferences button on the bottom row. In the tab called "Java," click "view." Then just drag Java 6 above Java 7. This should work. If that doesn't work, you can just uninstall Java 7. Follow the instructions at this link. You can also use a quick workaround (if you are sure you have Java 6). Open terminal and enter: sudo ln -s /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Commands/java /usr/local/bin/java6 Now, everytime you want to run the Technic Launcher, open terminal and enter: java6 -jar and then drag Technic-launcher.jar into the terminal window.
  10. When I run Hexxit with and without Optifine (using the 1.5.2 minecraft launcher), everything works fine. When I run Hexxit with and without Optifine in the Technic Launcher, there is no difference. The game just quits itself in the manner I described before.
  11. First of all, what OS are you running? What java version? You might not need to update your LWJGL to 2.9 manually like me (remember I was unsuccessful at fixing Hexxit). Also, your trying to run the new Tekkit right (the one without industrial craft 2)? Also, here's the instructions you asked for (I made them simple stupid in case a 10 year old finds this topic and reads this): [stuff you probably already know but I included this just in case] Download LWJGL from here (scroll down to the download link). Open the bin folder of the tekkit folder within .technic (or just technic if your using a mac). [more important instructions] After you opened the bin folder, open lwjgl-2.9.0.zip, extract all its contents, and open the the folder called jar (the location is different depending on how you extracted it). Now copy these files and only these files from the jar folder into the aforementioned bin folder: lwjgl_util.jar, lwjgl.jar, jinput.jar. Now exit the jar folder and open the native folder (the called "native" from the .zip) and within it, there's folders named after operating systems. Choose the folder corresponding to whatever OS you use and copy all the files within. Paste these files in the folder named "natives" in bin and test your Tekkit. You can find similar instructions online if you need more clarification. Let me know if these instructions worked for you.
  12. ...Ok. Sure, but the FPS will kill me. Just to make sure you understand, I only tried installing Optifine into modpack.jar to see if that would allow Hexxit to launch. I'm currently only using Optifine on Hexxit on regular minecraft, not the Technic Launcher. (The Hexxit I'm debugging on Technic doesn't have Optifine installed.)
  13. Yes, it works fine. Any clue to fix the LWJGL problem? I still want to have Hexxit working on the Technic launcher so I can play 1.6.2 on regular minecraft. Also, I tried installing optifine onto modpack.jar with no difference in the FML log and the launcher.
  14. I'm using Forge 7.8.1.737 for Minecraft 1.5.2 on LWJGL 2.4.2. I also have Optifine HD_U_D5 installed installed, if it makes any difference...
  15. This isn't hate. It's just ways to refine your method, which has worked fine for me. Thanks for your help if it means anything. I'm off to fix a LWJGL problem with my Hexxit.
