I think the version of MC they are using has the redpowered glowstone. That would at least give you some lighting control.

Redpower wiring and logic would be nice too. But if you really want IC and BC, play tekkit.

Redpower logic doesn't use the blulectric power system of redpower though... It only has all of the timers, nor gates, and gates... But the might not want to put it in because you need redpower wiring and whatever mod contained the alloy furness to make the wire. But you are correct. Much more complex/better/easier systems could be made with some of the redpower items included in voltz.
