Well Firstly if Factions is red on the /plugins list u need a older version (if so install a older version) if it still works send me th ip and whitelsit me and i can come have a look

correction all items/blocks that are not in tekkit lite but are in classic will be lost if u change it to tekkit lite

You will lose all items/block that are not in Tekkit Classic

There are plugins to restrict items like http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/tekkitcustomizer/ and http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/tekkit-restrict/ You can ban items from being crafted right clicked etc

well its a plugin that comes with tekkit i have it and it has not caused any issues it has something to do with forge i think

I Just wanted to comment permissions bukkit i prefere because its easy and user friendly (and btw if u get it the permissions to build is permissions.build)
