I have a very similar problem...with the same error message, but I also crash when looking in my inventory, and sometimes I get lucky and people load just fine...Its really a mystery. Please help *UPDATE* also crashes in third person.

I've been gone for a month, have to figure out the right version again, but I'm gonna be gone again for another week starting today, if my stuff is still there I will resume playing as usual after that.

hey could we get thermal expansion or what ever the build craft doo-hickey that makes everything convinient and does the ic2 stuff is? never mind proteus said we have that, i just can't find any of the machines in NEI.

Also, railcraft is pretty friggin amazing, Gregtech and smartmoving too. Smart moving might not be compatible though.

Can't go wrong with forestry or Thaumcraft. I'm personally a big fan of Train Craft as well, but i don't know if it's multiplayer. I think you can remove hawkman from the whitelist, it doesn't look like he's gonna join me.
