  1. Im also having a solder problem but a different one. It is all up and running, and the site itself sees my solder and says "linked" i created a modpack... but i can't add any mods to the modpack. I was able to add mods in general, im able to add a modpack in general but i can not add mods to the modpack because it refuses to show the version numbers in the drop down. Aside from that, on the technic site itself it says that the pack is not linked to anything and does not have a download file. Yet, in modpack settings it says "oh we see this pack on solder" and i already clicked "link". So theres like three different points here that are horrible broken or something. I actually still had this issue when it was in DEV before they even released the site to everyone. Nice to see its still broke.
  2. It's private and not on the index so im not sure how much that would help? The pack itself is correct, it loads into the current tekkit launcher just fine and downloads and installs it just fine from my Solder set-up. But the new launcher, and new platform does not, it doesn't even pull the correct version number in the new launcher, but does in the old/current launcher. This is why im assuming that Solder hasn't been updated (publicly) to work with the new launcher maybe? The new platform does link and see my Solder set up though which is strange. Wish i could get an official yes or no that it should work or not. -.-
  3. So on Technic Platform V1, and Launcher V2 my solder install linked flawlessly and also works fine. It is not working with Technic Platform V2 / Launcher V3 though. The platform V2 see's my solder pack, links it. But then the launcher does not actually download/pull from it. I don't see any updates for solder either for it? The platform itself says success, linked to the pack detected on solder. The launcher doesn't see it at all though, it just says im not using a valid url (like a zip file url instead of solder). Can we confirm it isnt working, or is there something special needed?
  4. Even though i consider this a quick question, it does require some knowledge. I haven't messed much with java until now im mainly a C++ coder. Anyways i have literally figured out and changed everything i need/want to with the launcher but only one question remains.. What needs to be changed/updated so that the launcher knows it has a update. I am NOT talking about modpacks being updated that was easy, im talking about the launcher jar/exe/files themself. I can see in the code in several places where it checks its version number.. ok.. where is it checking that version number at, and what needs to be changed. Does anyone know how this part of the launcher works, it would be greatly appreciated as its the only thing i have left to figure out. Also minor second question that isn't important but im curious.. why are there separate background images, and about/changelog pages in the launcher web files for each modpack if (as far as i can tell) they aren't used at all? Are they used, ive never seen a area for it. Edit - Also.. i tried changing the version number putting it up on the mirror host, and changing its checksum id which i thought was how it was checking its version number.. but nothing happened. Is there more to change than that, or am i going in the wrong direction. Any input is greatly appreciated. x.x Edit 2 - NVM i see the background files, and such are used for the new dev version of technic launcher which looks completely different lol. All though i still dont see that using the about.html or changelog.html either. But i still need to know how the launcher checks version number and updates x.x
