mmm hmm! i just updated and lost these wonderful guys. i guess its back to 200m high glass towers.

the pump goes directly into iron tanks (glass tanks are SO last month) you can put more valves on the iron tanks to pump out of them when you want to. put some water into one of the tanks and some oil into the other manually. i'm using scaffolding because it looks nice. it keeps fluid out from the ocean. the ocean doesn't dry up for a long time so you need to do this if you want oil. that fast engine here is powered with a lap crystal because that's how i roll.

fire horizontal lasers a few times to make a nice wide tunnel, run through them, use a diamond pick axe to harvest the ores you want. with fortune 3 i believe it to be best to turn nether diamonds, coal, and redstone into normal stone first with heat lasers. you would need a lot of quarries to get ore at the rate that i manually dig them. on smp i have not been lucky enough to find DENSE ORES in Mystcraft, but involving that would be the best way to get ores by far.
