I already have the code somewhere in an alternate thread, ill get the link to it in a minuet. I believe im using the latest java as I remember updating a couple of days ago. Im with virgin broadband, and its a home connection. And have run servers from this ISP and home connection previously. I was looking at the bug forum, but didnt know if this was a 'bug' perse of if it was just a technical issue. Ill post it there anyway, thanks for the reply. Thank you for your feedback, yeah, i understand where you are coming from with direction, I guess the main reason for that was being it was just initially a livestream, and the youtube series was just an afterthought, but ill think of something for the next bunch of episodes. and thanks for the tips very useful.

'cant reach server'

OK, I have a server running and have had nothing but problems with it since I tried to host it, bear in mind ive hosted MANY different severs prior to 1.9, (when i stopped playing) So i know what im doing, but this has baffled me. The first problem i had was that I could connect to both servers, Voltz and Vanilla using local host and my internal IP, but couldn't connect to them via the external ip WITH correct ports forwarded. I have since tried something that has had more success with showing them active on the server browser window, was a firewall issue, but I am getting another more annoying issue arise. So with the vanilla client, i can see the voltz server no problems, and can see both via local host, but it will only ever say 'can't reach server' when trying to reach the vanilla server. That is one issue im having, but the more pressing one is the 'server out of date 1.3' issue, all servers match the correct version numbers with the clients, and builds of minecraft im trying to connect with. Here is a picture of the vanilla client showing version number and the server console showing server version number, as you can see they are both the same. Here is another with all my server consoles open, and the corresponding clients showing version number on each server console, and the browser list of each client. As you can see the localhost connections all show that they are active and working but the external IP's show out of date, btw im getting bad connection when trying to access either localhost connection. I have used both recommended versions and latest versions with the same results (Voltz) Any help would be greatly appreciated, as im tearing my hair out in frustration right now.

To explain the problem fully here is a link to another post i made about the issue http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1503704-ports-forwarded-still-cant-connect/#entry21119961, since then i have tried hosting a Vanilla Server, and that shows up, but says its an out of date 1.3 server, when in my console it says its starting 1.4 server, so i don't know.
