If its not getting a platform response then its on their side.Also I wouldn't count on downloading the modpack. There is a client side update that is coming out very soon. (the server will remain the same) Im personally doing this update and am working on it as we speak. Me and mercalyn are packing in new features, and I believe greenwolf is coding some stuff for us possibly.

Is it possible to set a modpack up so that the first time you log in to the client it displays a message? This way important information may be conveyed to first time users.

We are hooking forgeirc into our modpack, and we were wondering if it is possible to use the minecraft user's account name for the nick.

I have a configuration file for a mod in my modpack. It needs the user to enter their minecraft username post-install. How can I do this?
it looks like this:
username=
Is it possible to enter something that will turn into the minecraft ign for every person? maybe like
username=[playername]
?

UPDATE: The forums team has implemented our very own irc channel. head over to our forums to check it out. (note you must have a registered account in order to view our irc.) It is on the main page only, however the team is working on getting our modpack hooked up to the irc. People on the forums can talk to people on the server, etc....

Cheapshots fart caused massive damage to the thread. The OP was killed with shame and he figured it out. He is scarred to this day by the intensity and brightness of this fart. I think this was fun, but the powerful science of farting should not have been used. We could have just slandered the OP without the use of mass farts of destruction.

Yeah the conversion script worked out wonderfully. I love this new software so much.

Update: The forums actually moved over all the sections and posts. They are just invisible. Me and mercalyn are working on it
Update: Yeah the permissions need fixing. Im gonna let Mercalyn fix the actual forum design, then Ill patch spam bots. Locking down registration for now
Already loving this new software, the ACP is soo much more powerful
@andrew Im looking into setting up solder on our subdomain on artisans, that should make updating much quicker
EDIT:
Most permissions are fixed, all the forums and threads are viewable, but I still have to fix the permissions for the companies personal areas. We still need to fix our plugins and enable anti-spam, but for now we should be done. Mercalyn is working on fixing the forum graphics. Cheers!

Thats pretty much what I did. Unfortuanatly conversion only moved over users, however it totally destroyed the forums and threads, not to mention that it trashed the old forums.

First step is pretty much done, waiting on Mercalyn for some info for step 2. until then the main forums will give you a 404 error. If you need to use the old version, (i will lock it once i begin conversion) use this link:

No one attempt to access the forums, Im uploading tons of files and modifying them, so if you try to access the forums the install may bosch up

No. It messed up moving his password. I emailed him a reset password. His account was there.
