  1. Try rotating the MFSU. I have no idea if it can be charged from all 6 sides or not, as I am pretty sure it only has 1 output side and therefore might only have 1 input side. Also possible that you could have connected the cable to the output side by mistake.
  2. It's a long shot but it could be something to do with the world itself. If you're the owner try creating a new world and logging into that, if not the owner run a server yourself and try to connect to it (with a fresh world). If that also doesn't work I have no idea but if it does then it's something to do with the world on the server. If you are able to contact the owner outside of the server ask them to move your player position somewhere, perhaps server spawn, as you could be in a bad chunk. That's about all I know.
  3. Hello there, I've played Tekkit Classic for 2-3 years now, built an absolutely kick-a** world (not sure if swearing allowed just created new account) and can do just about anything I want. I've tried other modpacks (FTB Ulttimate, Big Dig, Hexxit and some others) but none have come close. I was disappointed back when I heard Tekkit was discontinued and was hence dubbed "Classic", but I played nevertheless. SKIP TO HERE IF YOU WANT TO SKIP MY LIFE STORY Alright so I want to add MystCraft into Tekkit Classic, but I've run into some problems (a lot). 1. I'm having difficulty finding a reliable download for Mystcraft 1.2.5 2. I have no idea how to install the mod if it is not a jar. For some reason the Tekkit Classic modpack is the only one I've ever had trouble installing mods in. If anybody could link me a working download verified by them at the time of posting I would be grateful. If the same person could also explain how to install it I would be even more grateful. Also pressing enter puts a large white space thing between lines, I don't like that... EDIT: I did manage to install. If anybody wants to know try messaging me (if that's possible on this website) and I'll try my best to explain.
  4. Why not just use pneumatic pipes? Just make a couple of those and some filters and a timer. No machinery needed, no risk of explosion, and can pull out at most a stack of items every 0.2 seconds (if need be). EDIT: Just noticed the guy above me suggested pneumatic pipes, oh well.
  5. The amount of overclockers demands more EU than the machine can hold. Add a couple energy storage upgrades.
  6. Hello everybody as you may have noticed in my previous post, I was talking about an amazing farm I discovered, a 424,494 EMC/s farm. Now I decided that I would give you guys a tutorial and hopefully you all understand it. *This farm works off the powered rail EMC farm but heavily modified. This means if you are going to make a small scale version, you will need at least 2 pistons with powered rails. *This is SINGLEPLAYER ONLY. This WILL NOT work in multiplayer. Now before we even start you are going to want to check in which direction said farm will work in. The rails are only created if the pistons are facing 2 of the 4 ways. Finding this is very simple, just copy what I did in the picture and see if it creates a lot of rails at once. Easy enough, just connecting 2 pistons with a timer and a powered rail in front of each piston. If this does not create any rails, simply rotate this by 90 degrees, then it should work, and that's the direction you are going to begin working in. *Sorry the image is on its side. It's not hard to understand. The rest of the images are fine though. MATERIALS: 86 sticky pistons 86 powered rails Any blocks that are easy to acquire (dirt, sand, cobblestone) A timer A lever Around 2 stacks of red alloy wire (should be enough) An alchemical chest A Gem Of Eternal Density A Black Hole Band A 11x9 space, plus a bit more depending on where you want your lever to be A brain Ok now we have the materials, it's time to do work. Once you have a space cleared out, as shown here Ok so we have the space dug out. Now place pistons on the longer side (the 11 long side) and you have to make sure they are facing in the direction that works. Leave one space away from the wall though. Now you are going to place powered rails in front of the pistons, like so. Alright now you're going to place down the alchemical chest right in the middle of the entire thing and place the gem of eternal density and the black hole band inside. Ok so now before we make it larger (that's what she said) we are going to wire it up so that we know it works. Here you get more of a choice and you can place the timer and lever whereveer you want it. I recommend you don't place the red alloy wire right next to where the rails will be pushed or beside the lever. This is what I did. So once everything is wired up what you want to do is place a block of dirt on every rail except for the ones at the very sides, so now on the next layer you have 9 dirt blocks, not 11. Do this for both sides and once its 9 long make it 3 wide in the direction of the pistons. Once you have done that do the exact same thing by placing pistons and rails and wiring them up in the same fashion. Now once you have that done do one last layer the same way, except this time again leave out the pistons at the side, so the next layer has 7 pistons. This is the last layer. Now you could actually leave this as is and it would make you 1 rm every 2 or 3 seconds, but we want it FASTER. Since we can't go any higher because the black hole band won't be able to suck it up, we now have to go UNDERGROUND. This is pretty much going to be the same thing, with the layer under being 9 pistons and the one under that 7, and then you're done the whole farm. *Be careful to not break the block right under the powered rail on top, dig right under that block though. To help me I did this little canal right in the middle which is 3 deep for now, and I did break the block above the alchemic chest. Now you simply want to break 3 blocks forward in both ways but remember the 1 high hole you are about to create is for the pistons so there has to be 9. Here's a better view of what I did. Alright so now you are going to place the pistons at the back and the powered rails, just like you did above, nothing difficult. I accidentally made the pistons on both sides 1 block too far from the alchemic chest, so as a result I had to move everything one block in. Not hard, don't break everything, just shave off that last block at the sides and move everything to the middle one block more. It should look like this, with the dirt covering everything except for a 1 block wide "hallway" shape. Now you have to wire up the pistons underground, so just dig down on the same ground where the wiring up above is, and wire the pistons. Again, nothing hard here. Now you are going to go one layer lower, just like on top, and make it so that 7 pistons fit on each side. Then wire it up the exact same way. So if you did everything correctly you should have no sticky pistons left (assuming you grabbed exactly 86) and you should now have 5 layers going in a pyramid shape on top and an upside down pyramid shape underground. If you hooked everything up correctly you can now turn it on and reap the rewards! *Each powered rail has an EMC value of 2048, the equivalent of a golden ingot, which is how the red matter gets created so quickly. Alright well that's it for me. Wow creating this tutorial has been quite an ordeal, took a long time. The idea is simple, but I tried to explain and give a screenshot for each step. Hope you all enjoyed and have fun with all the red matter!
  7. Well I was just trying some things out, when I stumbled upon what may be the greatest EMC farm known to exist. This farm gives you almost creative mode status, because it takes 1.1 seconds to make one rm, or 71.1 seconds to make a stack. If any of you have heard of the powered rail emc farm, you may have seen it used with maybe 10 or so pistons, but I have carefully constructed and built what I believe is the most efficient version yet. My farm features a whopping 86 total pistons, and each one of them is contributing, meaning there is going to be no extra rails lying around causing lag. The farm is incredibly cheap, as all you really need are pistons and powered rails. I was thinking of doing a video or step by step tutorial on how to build this beast, I might actually if people here want me to. Comment on this post if you actually want me to create a video/word tutorial, so that I'm not wasting my time making one and then nobody watches it. Thank you for your time.
  8. Hello. Recently I have reached what you could call "the end game", in my Tekkit world, and so I decided to do something meaningless and time-consuming. I decided to stockpile lots of UU-Matter. I created a little factory which would condense dirt from materials I decided to put in and through a simple setup, it would go through my recycler, to a chest, to the mass fabricator. While doing this, I noticed something, but before I begin I'll start off with something I found out. If hooked up to an MFSU and with an unlimited supply of scrap, a mass fabricator would produce 1 UU-Matter after consuming 32-35 scrap. We can estimate that a stack of scrap would equal 2 UU-Matter. Now what I found out is that 6 UU-Matter is enough to create 8 glowstone blocks, or 12, 288 EMC in total. Keep this in mind as I move on. Since dirt is 1 EMC, if we were to condense these 8 glowstone blocks, we would receive that much dirt. Now the recycler has a 1/8 chance of creating a scrap from an item, so theoretically we can assume that every 8th recycled item or block would create scrap, so let's do the math. 12 288 / 8 = 1536. So from that dirt, we have acquired 1536 pieces of scrap. Now taking the knowledge we have from before, knowing that 32 scrap is equal to 1 UU-Matter, we can divide 1536 by 32 so 1536 / 32 = 48. So we have now gone from 6 UU-Matter which we used to create the glowstone blocks to 48 UU-Matter. I have tried this out myself and have actually acquired 47 UU-Matter, but that is very close to 48, and the amount of scrap created is all about luck. This is by far not the best EMC farm there is, but I can only assume that not many people know about this, and I just wanted to point this out. A step you could do after acquiring the 48 UU-Matter is condense it all into glowstone again and maybe divert 16 glowstone blocks back to the dirt and the rest can be condensed into diamonds and such. Thank you for your time.
