  1. Install speed upgrades in the crusher. It's not really documented anywhere, but power consumption does NOT increase as the machine gets faster, so speed upgrades increase efficiency as well. If that doesn't work... consider updating to 1.1.3 or waiting for Voltz for Minecraft 1.5?
  2. I see it's been added to the Universal Electricity umbrella. Any plans to formally add it to Voltz?
  3. Pardon the noobish question, as I'm new to running a Minecraft server, but is there a way to update my server's map when Voltz updates? I ask because I'd like to update from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3, but when I load up the map some of the Electrical Expansion blocks have borked textures. Thanks. Edit: 70 views and no one can tell me one way or the other, eh?
  4. I run a private server with some friends. As I understand it, the point of Voltz is to keep the server and clients all running the same versions of all the included mods for the sake of consistency, which would be a great boon for public server OPs. Given my situation, perhaps my group should just maintain our own version of the pack and forgo Technic. Oh, and to the devs: I understand things happen and versions need to be pulled sometimes, but communication is key. There ought to be something stickied, even a simple "Sorry guys, Voltz 1.1.0 is being pulled for maintenance."
  5. I'm using the old launcher to run 1.1.0 on my own server 1.1.0, and for some reason I cannot build a basic battery box (3974:4). I place 3 plain tin/redstone/coal batteries (14227) in the middle, 6 steel ingots (14233) made from the coal + iron ingot recipe along the tip and bottom, and nothing. Using OP powers, I tried the steel ingots with different IDs, still nothing. I am however able to give battery boxes directly. I'm stumped. Edit: I meant to post this in the bug reports forum... Also, someone over on the Universal Electricity forum narrowed down the problem. For the benefit of everyone else with this problem, all you have to do is place the batteries on your hotbar and cycle through them before trying to build with them.
  6. So they phased out a perfectly-fine established version for software still in beta, then forbade distribution of the old-but-established version, despite the fact that the internet remembers everything? Good, why not. Edit: I found the old launcher. I won't say how as apparently that's frowned upon, but it allowed me to download 1.1.2.0, which appears to work fine. Edit edit: Scratch the 1.1.2.0 part, but I was still able to manually select and launch the latest version of Voltz and connect to my server with the old launcher.
  7. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. However I'm getting that same crash on startup error everyone else seems to be getting when I run the client.
  8. I run a small private server and am curious about the Version 1.0.12 listed in the changelog but seemingly not available yet. Mostly because I'm eager to get access to the new Railcraft locomotives. I'm guessing it's still in testing? Not to rush you guys or anything
