  1. Well, I'm using ender chests in order to fulfill crafting requests that are not local/close to the main ME system. However, the issue with using ME interfaces and export/import or storage buses is that they need to be physically connected to the ME network for the ME crafting requests to reach those remote ME interfaces. I may have to end up using LP to work with remote machinery, and use an ender chest next to an ME interface local to the ME network. Any ideas?
  2. Awesome. Thank you... and one last question. Does this method work with ender chests, or will LP be needed?
  3. I finally figured out, somewhat. Yea, dwwojcik, that's what I ended up learning- the ME interface handles this pretty well. This video was what ended up answering my question: Now, would it be better to place these interfaces near my ME system, compacting several interfaces close together, or interface them near the machines that are doing the work? I like to keep everything organized and compact.
  4. Should seem like a simple question, but... What options are there to get the ME system to only send items to be smelted, liquid transposed, crushed, etc etc *only* when a ME crafting request needs it? For example: If I submit a crafting request using a ME crafting pattern for an impregnated frame, how can I get the ME system to *only* send wood to the carpenter to fulfill the crafting request, without producing more than what is required? I'm trying to find the best way to do this because of several reasons, such as I don't want ALL my quartz dust to be smelted into silicon, since there are other recipes that use the dust. With ME buses, it will send *all* dust to the smelter unless I manually switch the bus off. I want to avoid having to flip any additional switches, and ultimately, simply tell the ME system to craft something and it will do so as long as there are materials. I'm going to start messing with LP to see if that will help, but figured I would ask here for expert opinions.
  5. Liquid metal buckets from TC crashes servers when placed. I placed some liquid metal down as decoration the other day, and caused the server to crash multiple times until I finally found out this was the cause and removed the liquid metal. This only happens when the metal is placed from the buckets. Server owner shared this crash report for details: http://pastie.org/8423453 Lumber axes are still found in dungeon chests (primarily battle towers) as glitched, multicolor tiles. They crash clients when placed or used.
  6. Thanks for this update! Our APOC MC community is performing mass-reset for our servers soon, and were discussing the possibility of disabling BetterStorage alongside due to errors we've been having in the past with it causing chunk corruptions. But, this is no longer our plan, thanks to the update on both the behalf of the BetterStorage and Hexxit devs. It may be about a week before I gather enough data to make a report on stability and usability, but will certainly do so! (Not the actual owner of APOC, just a staff member of our Hexxit server who's been frustrated over the constant issues BS has been causing =/ so this update means a lot!)
  7. Permissions have been changed. You should be able to view and download it now.
  8. First, I hope this is the right place. I did check the bug report forum, but there was not a section dedicated for server issues. There were only dedicated subforums for each of the mods within Voltz. This issue is not specific to any of the subforum subjects. I have had an issue for the past several days. However, let me backtrack to a few weeks ago. My server crashed due to an unexpected computer reboot (darn Windows automatic updates!), which I fixed by reinstalling the Voltz server, and moving over my world and player data. This seemed to have fixed the issue, and no other problems arose. Since then, I had been making regular backups. But, I now suspect I have been making backups of a corrupted server... The other day, I (carefully) restarted my computer to perform windows updates, ensuring the server was properly shutdown before doing so. Once the computer was back up, I booted up the server. No errors were logged when starting it. Later that evening, I tried to connect, but was presented with a "Can't reach server" error. I also received reports from other players the same issue. I initially thought maybe Windows was blocking connections. I also suspected it was an issue with Java. After trying everything I could think of, I played around with the server files themselves, tossing around individual files and folders, making fresh installs of the server, renaming and removing files, etc etc. Then, I stumbled upon what I think is the source of the issue. I opened up the world folder, and removed the file named ModFlags.dat. I then booted up the server. Voila. I was green, and connected. I was excited, and then rushed to check to make sure everything was in place. Nope. Most of my machinery, items, etc etc were missing. Not all, but most. Enough it would take some time to replace. So, my question is this: can my ModFlags.dat file be repaired? Is this even the right file that is causing both the server to refuse connections AND contains the data which, when deleted, also removes several of the mod items in my world? I tried opening the file with simple programs like notepad to take a peek, but it's blank. (I'm sure the .dat isn't blank. Notepad just isn't the right program to open it with.) Or, should I just keep this suspected corrupted file in the recycle bin and let the server run as it is, replacing what is missing? Here is the exact ModFlags.dat file which I suspect to be corrupt. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwTNWZNmFcVwLTJIaUY3S3ZxX0E/edit?usp=sharing
  9. When trying to connect to my server on the same machine I host it, I get a "Can't reach server" issue. This just started happening after a restarting my computer earlier today. Initially, I thought maybe something was wrong with my server (crash/corruption), so I tried running one of my backups, but still could not connect. I have updated Java, rebooted my computer, tried various backups of my server, tried running a new server, double checked my port forwarding, deleted and remade my port forwarding, updated router firmware and rebooted it, changed the port in the server config file and made a new port forward for the new port, and tried both my localhost and external IP addresses. My IP is static. I have also tried going into the Voltz settings and resetting my pack, re-choosing my version, and re-installing the pack that way. None of these have even given me a glimmer of change or hope in the issue. Everytime, I get "Can't reach server." I run version 1.1.3. I don't use Himachi, Bukkit, etc to connect. I and everyone else (close friends/family) who plays on this server have been given my external IP to connect. Other people have not tried connecting yet, to my knowledge. When I try to connect, nothing changes in the server log. I don't get any errors when starting my server. Here is a log. [iNFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.4.7 [WARNING] To start the server with more ram, launch it as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar" [iNFO] Loading properties [iNFO] Default game type: SURVIVAL [iNFO] Generating keypair [iNFO] Starting Minecraft server on *:25565 [iNFO] [Mekanism] Mod loaded. 10. That's what I'm getting from various Google searches on this issue. Corrupted data. I tried just copying over the level.dat into a fresh unzip of the Voltz server, but when I booted the server, it still created a brand new world. I also copied over the world folder, but get the same crash. So, it seems there may be corruption in the world data. Interestingly enough though, I can still open the level.dat using MCedit (although I'm not sure if there's a way I can "copy" my world with MCedit to uncorrupted level.dat/world folder.) Looking at the fact I can open the level.dat in MCedit though tells me the level.dat may still be intact and not corrupt, but that there's another file(s) in the world folder that are corrupt. Not sure where to go from there, though, if that's the case. Could I just create a new world and let the server create fresh world files, then somehow replace the level.dat plus other contents from the original world folder to the new one?
  11. My computer performed a reboot overnight while asleep the other night (system updates). Upon attempting to start up the server the next morning, I was confronted with an error (log report below). I have tried a few things already, all working from a copy of the original server folder to ensure original files stay as they were. Assistance is appreciated! http://pastebin.com/vXBA8ZdP
