  1. Thanks for the reply! But it WAS actually me being a bonehead. a combination of forgetting the current (at the time) world had been created prior to the mods(coulda swore I switched that out...) being added and me not realizing that the version of NEI I was using(I think it's still the current one? must check that.) cheat mode was not working for creating items. That was why it kept throwing the id error at me. Once it made a new world, everything was perfectly fine.
  2. Not sure if this is the right place for this... Ok, so I recently just spent the day trying to update to update my small server to 1.7.2 and basicly got a headache for my trouble. After a bunch of trials and tribulations I got the modpack working and joined the server to test it out. Near as I can tell, the server CLAIMS to have the mods...but isn't using them in some way? I mean that if I'm missing one mod from the modpack, I can't join the server. However, once logged in, none of the world generation from the mods are there, I can't give myself items from the mods(the error I get is "No such item ID" or something like that) Just took another glance at it, and apparently it's only some that aren't working. Botania and Thaumcraft are not, but Tinker's Construct at least gave me that first book. The non-working mods are in the correct folder. In singleplayer, everything is working fine. I'm sure I'm making some boneheaded mistake somewhere, but if someone can help me shed some light on this problem it'd be appreciated.
  3. since this seems to be -the- thread for Big Reactor testing at the moment, I'm wondering if anyone has any information about a few things. Is a reactor+turbine that much better than just a passively cooled reactor by itself? is Gelid Cryotheum better than Resonant Ender as a coolant? I was under the impression that Resonant Ender was the better one and I've been using it in my passively cooled reactor builds.
  4. I just want to repeat my thanks for this guide! I went through with a refresher when I updated my server to 1.6 recently, just to make sure I was doing everything right.
  5. Question! can you store Steam in a tank/liquid Manager to be used later on? Or does it all have to be used quickly?
  6. Honestly, after getting used to TE (though I'd already used it a bit) the ONLY thing I really miss about IC2 is...the sounds of the machines. Seriously, I thought the macerators and everything was kind of soothing, as long as you didn't upgrade it to obscene values. Except the Geothermal generators...I usually had three our four banks of nine of those and the sound of them turning off and on constantly drove me so crazy I had to bury them in a "power room" far beneath my actual workshop.
  7. APPARENTLY in my rush to get it up and running before I left for work, I had a stupid moment. I could have sworn I checked multiple times, but when I went looking for the mod files to try out the suggestions here...I eventually found them...in the wrong folder. *points to the stupid corner* I'm going to go stand over there for a little while. I have no idea how I managed to do that. wow.
  8. You mean like the Ars Magica and TE stuff? Yeah, the engines and the like work fine. it's just this new mod that is giving headaches now
  9. I swapped the world over to the single player, made a quick horse saddle, exited, copied the config folder directly over to the server, logged in and...got "No such item" when trying to make the same horse saddle.
  10. I just added Mo Creatures to my game. It works perfectly fine in single player, but with the same folder set up for mod folders in the private server I'm running(minus the gui thing in coremods, it makes the server crash, apparently. and since it's just a gui thing the server shouldn't need it?) it doesn't work in Multiplayer. I mean, the server RUNS, I can play it fine. But I can't craft any of the Mo Creature's items, the animals don't spawn, and I can't pull the items out of NEI either. well, SOME of them I can, (Wyvern spawn egg) but they don't do anything when I try to use them. When I try to craft, say a horse saddle, the item still shows up in the output slot of the crafting bench, but I can't take the item. Anyone know what's going on? I have everything in the New Tekkit, plus Ars Magica, Thaumcraft 3, and Twilight Forest
