  1. ^^^ free iron with a minium stone...in fact, free iron/gold/diamond...w/e you prefer with that igneous...or perhaps 50 igneous extruders. who says you have to find diamond? just fight mobs for diamond now! never used the filler yet...guess I could give it a try. I WOULD use the white/black bricks, but, those aren't in my texture pack and look pretty bad in the rest of my world :(
  2. Speaking of material sinks....what in the world do I do with the millions of cobblestone I'm going to be getting? There's no recycler system (that I'm aware of). I understand that I could use one of those deep freeze systems from MFR....that holds what...2 billion? Still...isn't there a better way of getting rid of the material all together - ofc, without just having a system dump it into lava...
  3. Just curious - can you attach conduits directly to machines and engines without the energy cell? If not, we'd need a magma crucible as well which requires nether materials Sorry - nub to BC/TE power - I used to just have power running to energy cell from MFSU/transformers and powered it that way without the engines. I also believe that removing BC would be a mistake...I do enjoy their engines for portable power, tbh...I use them for quarries/refineries etc. I enjoy parts of BC - just miss the power from IC2. BTW, I'm not seeing any volcanoes...are those gone too now? No more rubies/sapphires/green sapphires? And, from tekkit classic I was able to find emerald ores (very rarely) but it happened. I was never able to in tekkit lite...is that the same?
  4. Awesome news...thanks for the update. I can 'deal' with the fact that IC2 is going away and it's not Tekkit's fault. I just really enjoyed their easy 'bread and butter' power setup where I didn't have to watch. I have used BC power...but, mostly for pumps and the quarry. I would use combustion engines, setup aqueous to feed them water (liquiducts ftw), and all they would need on fuel is a full tank + a portable. (2 combustion engines) - you can do the max quarry size without refueling. I guess I need to start finding new ways of getting power early Thanks again CanVox.
  5. I think that those who love IC2 know why they love IC2 and use it explicitly. For those who don't, don't...however, we still need to accept the fact that some people enjoy IC2 and some enjoy other mods that can do similar things. I for 1 only cared (mostly) about how IC2 regulated/handled power...especially in the early stages. I see the argument about "You don't need that much power." or "You can't use 2048EU/t". I get that...but, not really...we also don't need 18 million cobblestone either. Why do we have it? Because we can. Or...maybe 1 day I want to make a road that raps around the world (not really - that project will probably never complete). Or, perhaps it's a comfort thing. I know that I don't ever have to worry about cobblestone ever again. Same goes with power...I don't want to have to worry whether or not I have enough or my machines will blow up etc (forgive me if there are excellent ways of handling this problem through logic etc, I played mostly with IC2 power because it was easier for me - I'm not as smart as you other guys who can setup awesome BC power arrangements and never worry). I didn't care about IC2 machines - in fact, I used pulvs over macerators the second I found out you could get more ores from them. I found out how to bridge power from IC2 to BC machines (can't remember mod, using consumer/producer/bridges)...so, I used my power from IC2 to power everything I had in the game. I enjoyed it...it was fun to setup...I used AE with it to manage everything. I realize that IC2 is gone from Tekkit now and probably forever. Can we at least get some sort of easier way of handling power. Perhaps things that didn't blow up unless turned off ... I guess I need to play with it more...I'm just not looking forward to changing my mind on BC power over IC2 power. IC2 power seemed easier to setup. Perhaps I'll change some of my thoughts when I play around with it more...but, I doubt it. I love BC machines and IC2 power...so, I'm not biased on 1 mod over another...I just liked different things from both mods. Thanks
