Hey all, running into issues running a server, and I need help. If this isn't the right place to post, then please tell me which sub forum to post it in. Anyhow, I'm hosting a tekkit server on my computer, and everything has gone smoothly. Ports forwarded, plugins put in and permissions set. Everything has gone smoothly, with no error messages in console. However when the server went online, it would not generate the world. No error messages were spit out, and my friend could join. It was just a black void. I tried deleting the world several many times, and on occasion it would actually generate a few chunks. But it would not generate any additional chunks. One way or another, the world generation is not working properly. By far, one of the best tekkit servers I've found yet. It does have a habit of crashing every now and then, and roll backs are annoying, but still a bro-awesome server.

Hard to say. Personally, I suggest you friend try tekkit on his computer and see how it goes. If it works well, good for him. If not, well, you're in a pickle.

Maybe Svinnik, assuming item ID's are the same. I suggest you try it, but keep a backup copy just in case.

Realize those are not in the tekkit/techinic pack, and hence we don't have to give support for installing them. I suggest you READ the instructions they give for installations. If you have issues installing said mods, ask your questions on those forum posts.

In my opinion, I treat EE as a way to build what I want to, without having to spend hours upon hours in the mines. I much prefer building large complicated systems then wasting time mining.

Most servers disable rings and the catalysts. Unfortuantly, there is no way to track mod items such as EE catalyst of IC mining laser.

Press f9. Large blue squares will show up at eye level. Those are the chunks that are loaded, so makesure everything you want working is inside the blue squares. Also, what do you mean by: "recommended and dev build on server." You can't be saying the server is running two versions of tekkit right?

Alblaka who made Industrailcraft seems lukewarm about technic pack. The stuff I'm linking is a bit aged, so I'm not sure if it is still relevant.
