Most mods failed to load, corrupted world
Torezu replied to BlameSociable's question in Technic Launcher
Then go submit your own bug report. -
Either of you read this before posting? You should have.
-
Not if your machines and such are running at the same time.

I'm fairly sure an SMP version of Somnia would be more limited in scope and capabilities. It would probably be required to sleep until dawn, and you'd only be able to sleep at night.
-
So you have no duplicate mod files? Then you, my friend, need to reinstall entirely.

When Launched says "Runtime required to run not found" and closes
Torezu replied to Nadojo1's question in Technic Launcher
It's possible you need to install the .NET Framework, probably versions 2 and 3.5 - I'm not sure why, but a lot of programs use it. -
Just delete your lastlogin and launcher properties files. That, I think, will let you log in. If not, get a whole new copy of the launcher.

Java 32/64 bit conflict, cant find java directory
Torezu replied to ElManguel's question in Technic Launcher
Make a text file, and put this in it: "c:\program files\java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -jar technic-launcher.jar pause Now save it with a .bat file extension into the folder with your technic-launcher, and run it (double-click should work). You may need to change the path for Java (unlikely) or the name of the launcher .jar (more likely). -
So, you don't have a premium Minecraft account? I'm afraid we can't help you with that.

Error report comes up whenever I double click on Technic pack launcher.
Torezu replied to SneakyCoolman9000's question in Technic Launcher
Properties still do say 1.0.1.0 iirc, and you wouldn't be able to see the 1.0.1.3 unless you could actually run the launcher. So, to fix this, do 2 things: 1) Disable, or better yet remove, AVG. It disagrees with the launcher in 90% of cases it's used. 2) Use the .jar version of the launcher instead of the .exe version. Optionally, if both of those fail to work, install the .NET Framework from Microsoft, versions 2 and 3.5 at least, and see what happens. -
Need some more info (like the actual version numbers of the stuff you're using), and a launcher log, and your RAM allocation settings - you may be trying to use too much of it.

Most mods failed to load, corrupted world
Torezu replied to BlameSociable's question in Technic Launcher
Yes, but...well. See the warning. Just delete your .techniclauncher\tekkit folder and re-download. Make sure you've removed AVG entirely. -
Im new with tekkit anyone wanna help??
Torezu replied to calvinator78's topic in Let's Play Pavillion
So you know, everyone, this section is typically reserved for actual LP promos, etc. If you just want to play Tekkit and have someone show you around, go look for a server that mentions newbies are welcome, or stick a post in General Tekkit SMP asking for a tutorial or whatever. If you're doing an actual LP that we will be able to look at on Youtube or whatever, carry on. -
I can pretty much guarantee you haven't tried the .jar version then, as WinRAR is making the .jar look like an archive. Right-click on that "WinRAR" file and click "Run with Java" if you can. If you can't, you'll probably need to use a batch file to run it. The file extension on it is .jar - it's not actually a WinRAR native file, though WinRAR can open it.

There are...a few problems with this post. First is where it's at. Second is that you haven't said which mod pack and version you're running. Third is that you're asking other people to do your work for you. Have you tried a mapping program? Have you tried looking through forests for rubber trees? They're not as common, but they are still there.
-
Yes. Though, if you're unwilling or unable to figure out what to do, and expect a Tekkit server to run itself for you (including backups, plugins, etc., etc...) then:

Torezu replied to player21's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Why, it's the first one on the list. Your post wasn't contributing to the discussion at hand, since this entire thing was two months old. Anyway, one of the unwritten rules of forum posting everywhere is that necro-posting is considered a no-no. At least I (intentionally) didn't give you enough points to change your avatar. :) -
Adding mods to Tekkit. What works and what doesn't?
Torezu replied to powersthatbe85's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Wishful thinking on the first, possible on the second. There's a...history between the Forestry mod author and the Technic team, and it's unfriendly. I can see Mo' Creatures going in, though, once it's more stable. Matter of fact, it's not that terribly hard to add, and the item ID conflicts are ignorable as long as no one wants fishbowls. -
Adding mods to Tekkit. What works and what doesn't?
Torezu replied to powersthatbe85's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Correct, as long as they don't update. But for Mo' Creatures, for example, you need 2 mod-directory files and 1 modpack.jar file just to get the client working. Then you have to worry about item ID conflicts with Buildcraft gears (yes, I've done this). It's a huge pain for all but the smallest servers. Then Tekkit updates, and you have to do it all over again. -

It actually takes a month. For the warning to wear off. -
You can lead a Nubcake to water...
-
See your mods list? There are several with the exact same name. It doesn't really matter which one of each you delete. It looks like they failed to delete when you updated.

Delete the whole technicssp folder (make back-ups in case of random future desire to replay old worlds) and start fresh.

Mod_tubestuff error for connecting to a server
Torezu replied to PHTM_DZ's question in Technic Launcher
That means the server's still running 3.1.1, and hasn't upgraded to 3.1.2 yet. -
It's a...Tekkit...bug. Hence, Tekkit Bug Board. Look at the top.
