Adding mods to Tekkit. What works and what doesn't?
Torezu replied to powersthatbe85's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
I think I can safely say that this will. never. happen. But, in all likelihood, the answer to your question is probably no anyway. The bridge didn't get burned - it got disintegrated. -
If you're running EE, the fuel requirements for a SWRG (which doesn't only allow flight, btw) are negligible.

Server lagging (due to multiple worlds?)
Torezu replied to BukkitHost's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Sounds like someone need to run around behind him with a nano saber... -
*Twitch* Congratulations! This is the most useless bug report I've seen to date! Ever!
-
If you're asking for a step-by-step tutorial for a variety of activities, those may get made when new versions come out. Don't count on all of them even being backwards-compatible, though, let alone easy to convert. That's just how modded Minecraft works. If that's not what you're looking for, why are you asking such broad and generalized questions?

many different errors, never seen or read about this on forums before
Torezu replied to Ioakim's question in Tekkit Classic
Wot? You shouldn't be uncompressing the server files, unless you're talking about the .zip you downloaded. I was saying WinRAR may be trying to stick its fingers in while Java is trying to mess with .jar files, and that may be screwing up the server. That means either get rid of WinRAR, or remove its association with .jar files. -
Yeah, I think it will accept up to HV, but that just makes it charge faster.
-
You missed a space in Program Files. You may also need to put c:\...\bin\java in quotes. May.
-
Even if it hadn't, do you have any idea how much damage you would have to do to someone to put a significant dent in their quantum chest plate, and how many EU it would use? It's a lot.
-
Coils are single-charge now. Each does 10 hearts of damage to an unarmored target. They won't even touch someone in quantum.

The server requires you to have the following mods
Torezu replied to bluey's question in Technic Launcher
He was referring to .techniclauncher\tekkit, not .tekkit, and then you need to make sure you're using the correct version. -
NEI is not visible, but appears in mod list.
Torezu replied to flipcraft's question in Technic Launcher
Did you press 'O' at any point? Are you in windowed mode? Is your GUI Scale set to Large? Any of these can make the NEI interface disappear. -
Either will work. You should put the launch.bat in the folder with your tekkit.jar and either add your line to the path variable, or change the batch file to run Java from where it's located. It doesn't especially matter which, though adding Java to the path variable will let you run Java on other things without it complaining.
-
Valkon did that too, with the warning. You I just told to use PMs instead. Let's just let this die, hmmm?
-
Delete railcraft.dat from your server.
-
Cool. What's your question? Oh, you want help? Post a launcher log. Use the code tags, or pastebin if it's too long. This bug report is useless without it.
-
Launcher log? Could be an inventory bug - have you tried having them delete your player.dat file?

A 128x texture pack is not going to run well on your computer, I hate to say. I'd try a 32x or maybe a 64x and see how you do. The odd thing is that new worlds run well - what's your actual framerate in a new world (use F3) and how far does it drop as you play?
-
You want the batch file in the same directory as your server (and therefore the Tekkit.jar), and the path to point to the Java executable. Java's not in that folder, so it can't find it. The batch file will look something like: "c:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java" -jar -Xms1G -Xmx1G Tekkit.jar nogui pause The pause is just to let you hit a key after it closes or errors out, so you can see what's in the console window.
-
Need more info, computer specs in particular. Does it have a graphics card? If not, 10-20 FPS actually isn't horrible. I would say to turn the memory allocation down to 512MB-1GB, no more.
-
See, if you noticed the OP, this isn't the place for server topics. Take it to PMs or wait for/ask for a server post from him.
-
This is a most exceptional idea. I'm going to steal it.

Let me do your work for you, then. Since I'm still feeling nice today. Let me Google that for you. Let's see...skipping the stupid wiki answers page and all the youtube videos it would take far too long to watch...oh, look, first item: a Bukkit forums thread (which is just Tekkit without the launcher wrapper) on this exact subject. Huh. It even tells you to add Java to your Path variable, and gives you a step-by-step on how to do it. Look at that! Believe me, if you want to see me get irritated, I'll oblige. Instead, I'm just using a little bit of sarcasm to get you to do your own work, instead of expecting people to do it for you. If you actually spent hours on Google and these forums, and didn't learn how to solve this issue and several others, I pity you for your blindness.

That means they're running the 3.1.1 server. You're on 3.1.2. Wait until they update, or downgrade by manual selection.

Just split the pipes coming out of the pump/refinery. They'll balance themselves while it's pumping, and overflow will go to a different tank. You will still need a wooden pipe out of the bottom of each tank stack, though.
