  1. That means you have 3.1.2 and the server's running on 3.1.1 - you'll need to downgrade, or the server will need to upgrade.
  2. Okay, can you copy/paste the exact contents of your batch file into here? Something looks weird in your path.
  3. Go back to JRE 7. Did you pick a mod pack? If you don't, the inputs will be grayed out.
  4. Updating Java may help, but it looks like you have a mod loading order issue. I know Linux runs stuff in a different order depending on capitalization, but I'm not sure how that translates to getting things to work correctly. Maybe try capitalizing the first letter of each mod file in the mods folder?
  5. The pipes should also display an owner. They must have the same owner and the same frequency to be connected. I think owner is determined by who crafted them, but it might be who placed them or something.
  6. Doesn't really matter, they're in the same class of machines. This feature is intentional on Alblaka's part. He's the creator of IC2, which contains all the machines you're using, and he has dictated that losses are part of moving machines, so it's unlikely to change soon. You can resolve it in one of three ways: 1) Suck it up and lose some machine parts in rebuild every once in a while. 2) NEI the machines back in and throw away the machine blocks when this happens. Cheat, in other words. 3) Use an Electric Wrench with lossless mode (hold M and right-click to switch) on. This consumes a lot more power, so a batpack or lappack is advised.
  7. Word to the wise: back up server worlds daily, or more frequently if people are doing a lot of work on them. Sslick, you might be able to get away with a fresh server install and copying the world folder over. C_S, your world is lost, unless you have a backup. You could try deleting the world.dat file inside the folder, and seeing if the world will load, but crashed servers almost always have corrupted chunks and extra sets of issues that never fully go away without some expert work on the world with MCEdit or something.
  8. Go into Video Options and increase your render distance.
  9. Yeeesss, because insulting the people you're asking for help from always works in your favor. Check your cable length, you dip.
  10. How much RAM do you have? Total? You're allocating quite a lot.
  11. Why don't they just call it a pre-order discount?
  12. Tekkit can be played in single-player. And don't sign your posts.
  13. Disable Norton and try again. I'd even consider uninstalling it.
  14. Your launcher, it is ancient. Go get a new one, then delete the technicssp folder and try again.
  15. I'm stumped. Every indicator points to either antivirus/firewall interference or busted internet connection.
  16. Why would I tell you that? There's no Mac tutorial.
  17. There's an NEI "bug" that lets you load saved states from single-player. There's a fix for it floating around somewhere, or you could disable NEI.
  18. Did you really just ask again after the first warning? Don't. ask. for. ETAs. Really.
  19. Try deleting your .techniclauncher folder entirely (if you haven't already), get a new copy of the launcher (it was updated post MC-1.3.1 release), and turn Windows Firewall completely off.
  20. Go. to. the. Bug Board. That's what it's there for. Also, use the search bar.
  21. specific This thread was painful to read.
  22. There's a guide. In the guides thread. On how to make a server. Go read it.
  23. Try the Bug Board. This is the wrong place.
  24. Have your friend post a "bug" report. Troubleshooting by proxy doesn't work well.
