On my server numerous people are using mining lasers and dynamite etc. to destroy my spawn area. I hate banning these things because it ruins the fun of Tekkit. One of my staff members has come across a possible solution for you guys out there.
You can use a plugin like Multiverse or MyWorlds to have the spawn point in one world, and the map in another. Multiverse and MyWorlds have support for splitting inventories between worlds. You could have the spawn world where there is no inventory and you can't do anything destructive, have a portal to the map using Multiverse's default portals or downloading something like Transporter (I highly recommend Transporter!). Splitting the inventories is a great solution for this situation but make sure your server can run Multiverse or MyWorlds! (Require a bit more RAM)
