sewage? from what? am I producing it somehow? can I use it in any way?
-
I said yellow / brown as it's different on different texture packs on mine it's king of bright brown.
-
just realized that there is one page - don't know why I didn't C it before -I'll delete mine one
-
lol thanks guys! this is really helpful. can I use the fluid from the yellow/brown lakes that I have all over the place as a bio fuel? I'm not sure what that is... sulfur I guess? On another note, I though it might be a good idea to start a FB page https://www.facebook.com/newtekkit I would be really grateful for your input.
-
Hope I'm not milking it 2 much but would you mind explaining how do I set up the bio fuel farm? I need lots of bone mill right?
-
I though that the world anchor isn't there any more, I have been looking for it the other day and could not find it,is it called something else now? Is magmatic engine better than bio fuel ? If it is, I might go for the big guns and just forget the bio fuel. Or perhaps bio fuel is more convenient go use?

hey guys! just wanted to go back to my setup for a moment, last night I have set up a little steam engine plant, a humble 15 engines connected to the cables filled with liquid red stone then going to the energy cells and then powering everything else. The problem I have with this is although it works really well and it is enough for my needs, the energy cells have maximum output of 100 MJ and the machines take like 2800 MJ minimum -now I know that this is how much power is stored in the machine not how much they take but each cell stores like 600000 MJ (can't remember how many zeros but a lot) and having 2 should take much longer than it takes now to use up. Now it takes like 15 min. I have only Powered Furnace, liquid transporter, magmatic something (takes A LOT of power 48000 MJ total I think), inertion (or sth like this) smelter and the polvariser (can't remember the spelling of those sorry). I want to connect a few quarry's to it now and as long as the engines are running it will be fine - not the fastest but still fine. Is there anything I can do to increase the input and output to more than 100 MJ on each? I need to switch to stronger engines like magmatic I guess but for now this is really stable - the steam engines are doing a great job btw the only maintenance I have to do is to hit them with a wrench once everything is filled up (never) and 64 coal in each lasts for like 10 h if not more (real time). what would you suggest please? Oh one more thing, those liquid red stone cables are REALLY expensive is there anything else I could use? the golden conductive pipes do nothing and if I remember correctly those were the best in the old tekkit (might be wrong though. that was a long one :P

I wold love to help out! is there anything I can do? If you need help with the code - I'm a php programmer
-
have you guys seen any proper wiki for the new tekkit? except for forums I was not able to find anything that I could refer to. well I can always check recipe within the game but it never sais how do things work - how to put it together or what comes out or comes in where.
-
25 magmatic engines? really? wow... I'm using 4 Stirling engines and if I need 4 x quarry to overflow everything, it must take like a few minutes to dig 50 x 50?
-
oh there is one more thing I wanted to ask, you guys mention "buildcrafr power" is there a reason for it? Is there another kind of power not compatible with something within the same game? That wouldn't make much sense would it?
-
are there still atomic reactors in the new tekkit or do I need a mod for it? I think there was a mod called Big Reactors or something like that? Is that still an option?
-
do you guys work alone on your projects? I'm really suffering with loneliness love the game but everything takes ages when playing on your own... thankfully we have quarries to mine for us because it would take much much much MUCH longer
-
ok cool so we have covered the basic energy source, what about something bigger? The whole point of getting power in the first place is to be able to expand ... what's next then? Magmatic engines? or is there something larger than that?
-
you mean the water pump thing (aqu)? if is does not need power, the water would go to the tank and stock up in there and then from there it would go to the engines - do I use the same pump again or pipes would do it for me?
-
ok and this is where I have another problem because I need to power the water pump right? I guess initially I have to use Stirling engines to start everything up and then it all should power itself? I guess o_O
-
is there any way to stop the Stirling engines from overheating? this kind of system could be semi automatic if the engines are not blowing up I guess: Quarry delivers coal to a chest, red power engine (or just a wooden pipe now I think) takes it to the engines, those produce electricity to power everything plus the quarry itself? would that even work? I guess a plant of Stirling engines would do the trick for the start? Also is it just me or the steam engines are now called Stirling and the Steam ones are completely different?
-
I have checked all over the forum and on google but I can't find a clear answer for this. Could you guys tell me what are the power sources in new tekkit and also are there batteries or an alternative for them? All I was able to find is Upgraded battery or something like that (can't remember the proper name) I can't see the actual batteries though and I will need some thing to store power. At the moment I am using Stirling engines to power all my machines but this requires a lot of maintenance plus it takes a lot of space. Another thing is that I have been trying to use Stirling engines connected to cables to power everything but the engines do not move at all just heat up -there is no electricity produced unless I'm missing something on the way. I'm not new to tekkit but all I find online is for Lite or Classic there isn't much for the New one.

cool thanks a lot! I will check it all out as soon as I get back home. I hope this made a change :)
-
also in the BigDig I have thermalexpansion and custom ores - will the config work on them as well as on the vanilla?
-
I have replaced the conf with the big dig one and it seems to work, I can't check if it has changed anything though because I'm only remotely connected to the PC at home. In case it didn't work or did not help much, could you answer my question from my previous post? thanks! Much appreciate your help!
-
Would the Tekkit-main work on bigdig configuration file? Also, because I don't want to make it ridiculously filled with ores, could you tell me what the options below do? iron { I:ClusterSize=8 I:MaxY=64 I:MinY=0 I:NumClusters=20 } I forgot to add that this is not a local machine server - not a local game opened to the network, it is a server that runs from a separate machine and I connect to it -is there still an option to use BigDig Conf file?
-
Hey guys! I was wondering if there is a way to increase number of ores per number of blocks? I'm playing on the server that is running on a second PC so I have access to all the files. The reason I need this is that I don't want to destroy everything around when running multiple quarries. after a few, a huge chunk of the "environment" is destroyed and this does not look very nice Perhaps there is a way to change the ratio of ores to cobble or something like this? Many thanks!
