The ip YOU connect to (if it's your computer hosting) is your private IP. Then you have the googled one for your friends and such. Because if you tried connecting with that ip, it wouldn't work. (at least that's how it works for me, dunno if it's the same. Sorry, I'm stupid. lol) Also, there's tons of tutorials on creating a tekkit server on youtube. And I mean tons. ipchicken.com also works with your external ip.

I didn't see any threads with this problem through search, but... So, on my new PC, I downloaded the launcher off of my flash drive, (It had all my old computer data, no biggie). I ran it and let Technic do its thing while loading all the mod files and such. After a few minutes I came back to check on it, since it should've been done by then. But it wasn't, it's stuck on the launch screen, downloading Greg's Lighting. This is what it's giving me. Can anyone help with this?

You can only play tekkit with a Minecraft account. It's not that costly.
