  1. Alright, so I found out what to do with Uranitite. Don't need to worry about that any more. But if anyone could please follow up on that MineChem issue, I'd like to know if there's anything I can do to fix that or if I'm doing something wrong there.
  2. Over my playtime, I have (as legitimately as possible) accumulated 8,624,000 MBs (8,624 buckets) of fuel. I have it all stored away and have absolutely no clue what to do with it all. Perhaps I should cease its production. Seeing as this is on a single-player world, I cannot, as much as I would LOVE to, divvy it out to all who are in need. Is there anything one can do with fuel besides just use it to power engines? I've already got two 24-combustion engine teams producing power and no idea what to do with all the MJ I'm making. In addition, I would like to know if there's some way to mass-store MJ. I know Redstone Energy Cells are pretty good, but they only hold 600,000 MJ. If anybody has a blueprint for a great storage setup that allows depositing energy and withdrawing it with so much as a flip of a button, I would greatly appreciate it!! Also, what's with there being so many things that are in TMI (or NEI, not sure which is used) that can neither be crafted or found? Such as the soul shard thingies and the soul cage. I would love to use that. Another thing, I was SO hyped about getting into MInechem and even worked my butt off to make a fusion reactor (as painful as it was to place the blocks right with the projector being all glitchy and hard to make out). But, it appeared to be glitched. I even lost an item or two trying to put a stupid nether star into it. So, that was a turn-off and I dropped it immediately. I still have a double-chest full of pretty chemicals just waiting to be turned into something beautiful. But no desire to mess around with an incomplete mod. (Not to seem spoiled, but it just bugs me a bit.) Edit: Also, what in the world do I do with Uranite? It seems to have no recipes attached to it. Thank you to all of you who took the time to read this and especially to those of you who took or will take the time to respond thoughtfully. Feel free to curse at me for being ignorant or altogether stupid. But do so in a constructive manner, if at all possible ^_^
  3. I think that's really a cool mod! For the hostility present in this modpack, it would fit right in! I do hope that gets into the pack some day =D
  4. Dww, you're going to need more than a diamond sword and a suit of iron armor if you want to explore some of the dungeons available to you! XD You're going to want potions of regeneration, strength, and a suit of fully enchanted DIAMOND armor if you want to survive for long, trust me, I know. =/
  5. I like the modpack thus far, it's a nice new mix of mods. The minimap thing is actually kinda nice once you get used to it. I've always used Rei's Minimap, but this map actually allows you to use it as a map, scroll around, and place waypoints accordingly. Now, on the topic of difficulty, I'm WAY up there with you. I was on PEACEFUL and almost died multiple times due to the mobs that would spawn by proximity. The archers could harm you even though the melee mobs could not. They're also incredibly powerful and the knockback, like any other skeleton, is ridiculous at times. The sheer numbers of them and the armor that they're equipped with make them even more difficult. So, I would like the difficulty to be toned down a little bit so that playing this solo is actually possible. I would like to play on easy, at least, but the difficulty takes all the fun out of it. I'm more of an easy-going player and, although a challenge here and there is acceptable and welcome, I cannot find anything fun about dying repeatedly. Now, onto other subjects, there really should be a book that you get at the start, much like the one you get for the odd weapon-crafting mod, that explains how to obtain souls, blood, etc, and what they are used for. I certainly wish that I knew, but I don't. So, maybe if someone could post a starter guide on the forum, that would make the transition from the usual to the unusual much more smooth. Just my own personal opinion. And of course, it's not shoved in people's faces, so those who don't want to be told how to make a wood shovel don't have to be told and can find it out on their own. Besides all of that, I like the distribution of ores and the Zelda mod, too. I wasn't expecting that one! The damage indicators mod is VERY welcome. It helps me know which weapons are truly doing the best when I've suddenly been introduced to a few unknown types. I've only played the modpack for two or three hours, so there's still much more to see, but thus far, it's a promising one!
  6. Those are all used to make the same vanilla-type tools (ex. pickaxes, axes, swords, etc) but with items ranging anywhere from cacti to bones to obsidian. It can also make new items such as a pan (which can be used to cook things), battlesigns (sings, but for man-to-man bloody combat, as a joke weapon), and also a chisel which is used to turn things such as redstone dust into a placeable block. These items can be "enchanted" with lapis lazuli, redstone, and quartz, as well as diamond and gold blocks and emeralds, but only a certain amount of enhancements can be applied depending on the materials the tool is made out of. Hope this helped!
