ive done both and even tried launching in 1.0.1 and 0.2. Alas neither of those worked, still have the same problem, invisible world

I can walk around, look at inventory, and see the hud but no textures are loading. All i see is black outlines where the blocks are, the world is completely invisible. Help?

Ive made a private server for my friends and I but it wont show on hexxit. Ive never had this issue before. Any solutions? All my ports are open and fine, and the server itself starts and runs with no issue
