You don't need to download the normal or bukkit servers. The one you download from this site has everything you need to get a basic server going.

Did you try the original Tekkit server without more plugins/mods/whatever? And you may want to check your port forwarding just to make sure you did it correctly.

Have you port forwarded? That site you gave doesn't even seem to exist. Go to whatsmyip.org to get your IP address.

Ummm....good to know? That really didn't help at all. To the OP, I don't think there's a plugin like that since most plugins aren't made for Tekkit or other mods, so your best bet is just to copy over the file. Sorry.

You'd have to block the recipe for MV and HV solars using RecipeManager.

How about googling "redpower wiki" or "redpower guide" or "redpower items" and trying to find answers yourself instead of just asking people "yeah theres some new items what do they do"

Are you sure you port forwarded correctly? Does your friend have the right IP? Are you using Hamachi? Which Tekkit version is he using?We need more details.

Tekkit is a collection of mods, not its own mod and so cannot be looked at altogether. Look at the source code for one specific mod (i.e. IndustrialCraft or RedPower) if its available, or use a decompiler for that if you like.

Which files did you delete? You have to go into the "mods" folder and delete all of the redpower files there, as well as the redpower folder in the root of the server (where tekkit.jar is).

That's because you're trying to run it from a shortcut, or perhaps pinned it to you start menu. You have to click on it in the same folder as tekkit.jar.

I use PermissionsBukkit, and its working for me.

You realize tekkit.jar is a modified bukkit server, right? All you have to do is run launch.bat.
