  1. I have a 2x3 piston door on Tekkit 1.1.5 that's doing something wonky as well.

    Pistons with the following layout:

    1 4

    2 5

    3 6

My behavior is even stranger than your seems to be. I have them all set to blue, hooked to a PRC in T Flip Flop mode. When triggered by a pressure plate on a rednet cable, Pistons 2, 3, and 5 behave as expected. Piston 6, however, only toggles when the pressure plate pops back up. Pistons 1 and 4 do absolutely nothing.

I'm pretty close to just scrapping it entirely and just using Reappearing Blocks even though they don't quite fit the aesthetic.

  2. Your upload speed is VERY low to host a server. Walking around doesn't lag because how how the client handles that, but all block changes are run through the server first, so that's why you notice it there. Ideally you will want 1-2mb/sec upload per player and figure probably 1mb standard just for normal server chatter I would think.

I've never really monitored the traffic specifically, but I find that *really* hard to believe. That would be some of the worst netcode in the history of online gaming.

  3. I'm 99% sure that it's ~500 in my 1.1.5 world (upgraded from 1.0.6). I had 1 Tesseract (with limit set to 10000) powering 16 Laser Prechargers, 4 per face, 4 faces total. Using the multimeter, I was seeing ~5.9x MJ/tick on 8 of the prechargers, and ~54.x MJ/tick on the other 8, for a total of ~485 MJ/tick total. I disconnected two faces, and was still only seeing 480-490/tick on the 8 that were still connected.

  4. Does anyone know if there's a config option in TE for the limit on conduits themselves? I edited my config to give Tesseracts essentially limitless throughput, but now the conduits are my bottleneck. Each section of conduit seems to only be able to handle 500 MJ/tick, and Tesseracts seem to "bridge" different sections by acting like conduit themselves.

i.e.: Having conduits coming out of two faces of a Tesseract, but *not* connected directly to each other, the total output of both sides combined is still limited to ~500 MJ/tick.

While I could design around this, it seems needlessly cumbersome, and I'd rather just edit the config to fix it, but I haven't seen an option for it anywhere.

  5. My solution? Finally realize that I wanted a number of the "cornerstone" mods like Railcraft, Forestry and ExtraBiomesXL then built my own modpack in the platform. 7x7x6 structure? 9408 buckets of liquid.

Wonder how that does in the server performance department. Regardless, it's pretty clever and I'm sure a lot of folks don't know this is possible. Bravo.

Your tank is only 1568 buckets per layer for 7x7, so for tanks over 8 blocks tall, the LM solution pulls away (and increases the gap by ~1000 buckets every layer thereafter). Of course I'm not sure that really maters, because once you're storing 15,000+ buckets, you've already gone off the deep end somewhere. =D

RC tanks definitely LOOK cooler though, for sure.
