I haven't done this personally but it looks simple enough to do.N Navigate to your Hexxit Folder (If you're on Windows this'll likely be under "C:\Users\[Your Name]\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\hexxit" Go to config > extrabiomes > extrabiomes.cfg Midway down the list there's "B:redwoodforest.enablegeneration=true" I would think that setting that value to false would be your fix. [Edit] Found in their wiki, confirms the above.

You've already tried putting your firewall down / checking that there's an exception, right?

Are you able to see your ping when you're in game? Whatever route your network takes to the server may just be a lot slower than your friends'.

Are you launching it through the Technic Launcher?

Yeah, that may be the best bet... You won't lose any world or progress, but without going through each config one-by-one this'd be faster..

Are you playing locally or are you connecting to a server?

Yeah, the Wiki shows it as just placing a standard book in the crafting table (http://wiki.technicpack.net/Linking_Book) But I've been unable to get that to work.

Has anyone been able to craft the Linking Book (http://wiki.technicpack.net/Linking_Book) with Mystcraft? Placing a book in the crafting table does not result in a linking book being made for me.
