I am right now having this exact same issue. I have tried both the email and username associated with my minecraft account. The password is 100% correct so I can not think of a reason why it is not letting me log in.

Some jerk usually finds a way to bypass server protection to steal from my claims. It is hard to find a server that is not massive but the owner is thoroughly invested in his server and members.
