  1. You can spawn in some high speed track and place it down, or just grab a cart and use a block to get up onto the tracks from the room where you put the BT battery in. EDIT: Also, I suggest you turn render distance to Short +16 and Chunk updates to maximum so the credits will load. If I ever re-release this map I'll put them closer to the ground, but at the moment you never actually see them because the game doesn't load them (even with chunkloading blocks, for whatever reason).
  2. Oh, sorry, I didn't see your post. Did you power up the hatch? I assume so, since the cart shouldn't launch 'till the hatch is open. Just either spawn in some track and put it in the missing bits, or grab a cart, jump onto the tracks (you can get to them from the room where you put the BT battery in by placing a block or just using ninja jumping skillz), give it a little push, and jump in.
  3. Well then the links in the forum threads led to outdated binaries, because that's where I got them. :\
  4. Oops. Well that explains a few things. I suspected that was the problem when I was looking at Elloraam.net trying to figure out what I did wrong. And I didn't, I installed the latest versions of everything.
  5. Ah, I think I see the problem. I accidentally installed an old version of Forge. Re-installing now, gonna see if it works with the latest. EDIT: Nope. Latest reccomended build doesn't seem to work at all.
  6. Watch out for the Karkian though.
  7. I think Technic has made me soft. I'm trying to mod Minecraft the old-fashioned way (and by the old-fashioned way, I mean by installing Forge and dropping crap into the appropriate folders), and it isn't working. I'm making my own "pack" (for use by myself and a select group only) for use in an LP, since I need specific mods. First problem I'm having is that IndustrialCraft doesn't work. I can go without it, but... mining lasers. And construction foam, and nuclear reactors, and QuantumSuit... I think it's just that the latest IC2 doesn't like the latest Forge, and they sit at opposite sides of my computer and refuse to talk to eachother, not letting anyone get any work done. Second problem is that NEI doesn't work. Items don't show up in it, though the utility buttons work. This may very well be the same problem as above. I've tried the reccomended installation with both Chickenbone's Core and the actual NEI jar in the CoreMods folder, as well as the other three possible combinations. They all behave exactly the same. Third problem is that RedPower doesn't work. This I can't go without. The client just doesn't seem to think its installed, and the server more helpfully informs me that Forge doesn't think that it's a mod. I have the server distros on the server and the client distros on the client, of course. Fourth problem is that ICBM doesn't work. It works great client-side, but when it's installed on the server the launchers disappear seconds after being placed. Now that I think of it, does it explicitly mention anywhere that ICBM is SMP-compatible? Aren't ALL mods SMP-compatible now, though? Fifth problem is that Railcraft doesn't work. About the same thing as IC2. Sixth problem is that EE2 doesn't work. About the same problem as RedPower; though Forge seems to recognize it as a mod, no EE2 items actually show up in-game on either client (SSP) or server (SMP). Seventh problem is that MoCreatures doesn't work. Same problem as RedPower. Eighth problem is that Balkion's Weapon Mod doesn't work. Same problem as RedPower. The only mods that DO work are: ICBM (Only in SSP) ComputerCraft MoCreatures (Only in SSP) Rei's Minimap Treecapitator Any suggestions?
  8. Mmmmhhh... I wouldn't say that. Depends heavily on the distro, of course.
  9. Yeah, wretched hive of scum and villainy if I ever saw one. EDIT: Alright, since I'm getting more or less zero interest in this, I think I'll cut down the effort level just to push it out there. Maybe if anyone says what's left is cool, I'll release a "remastered" version with the supercomputer and redstone CPU and such put back in.
  10. ... I'd really rather not. (assuming you mean the Bay12 Forums)
  11. But how is its drive? Can it get out of a sand trap? I really shouldn't let punning take over my thread, but what the hell, no-one's going to download it anyway...
  12. You can also set up Windows to play everything you say out through your speakers, allowing FRAPS to pick it up. That's what I do (never realized you could check both of those tickboxes...), and it actually helps a lot with recording since you can then tell if you're breathing into your mic, if the mic is on, etc... You set it up by right-clicking on the volume control icon in the taskbar (extreme lower-right, next to the clock) and selecting "recording devices", going into the properties for your chosen recording device, selecting the "listen" tab, and checking the "listen to this device" tickbox.
  13. Because Windows is DAS UBERSYSTEM. Seriously, it's just because since the majority of Minecraft server owners are not professionals, and a Windows server is way easier to get your hands on and get working.
  14. I must say, I didn't expect the almost complete lack of interest I've received. I suppose those screenshots up there are a little bit drab. I'll upload some juicier ones of the newer parts of the map and see if that generates any excitement. EDIT: New screenshots in OP. Swanky.
  15. Well that's odd... you're trying to run it with Tekkit, right? Not Technic?
  16. Well that's odd... you're trying to run it with Tekkit, right? Not Technic?
  17. At the very beginning? I thought I made it pretty clear- you type DIR into the computer, then LOAD "TELEPORT", then RUN.
  18. You may remember a little while ago I posted a little Tekkit adventure map. It was crap. This is not. !! This map will not work with Technic! Use the Tekkit pack by selecting it from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the launcher. !! Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?yy10txktjsaor4b Screenshoots: Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1ZSQYM5-3E I ended up just making it finishable and pushing it out the door. No point in putting weeks of effort into something no-one is going to see.
  19. Alright, I'm probably being incredibly thick right now, but I can't figure out how to ask a question on the Technic Questions site, and I can't figure this out either. What Bukkit version is the Tekkit server for the purpose of installing Bukkit plugins? I've looked through the Tekkit folder, the Tekkit page on this site, AND Technic Questions, and still no answer. Why isn't this information on the same page where it tells you you can install Bukkit plugins?
  20. I apologise profusely if this is the wrong place for this thread. This Looks Shopped is a forum game in which an image is repeatedly modified with Adobe Photoshop or any of its competitors. Rules: 1. Your modification may not completely obscure or destroy any previous modification- though you can modify a previous modification. (I.E. if I pasted a dog in the image, you could paste Justin Bieber's head onto the dog's, but if you posted an image of an elephant over the dog I'd be quite upset) 2. Once the image gets too cluttered, we shop the whole thing into a new image, preferably a high-rez one so we have room to work, and keep going from there. 3. No JPGs, or any other lossy image format. PNG FTW. 4. When you begin working on your shop, post a placeholder indicating that you are doing so. We do this because shopping takes time, and if someone else starts shopping while you're working on yours, large messes can and will ensue. Anyway, original image: And, the first shoop.
  21. Actually, it isn't. The launcher is based on the Spoutcraft Launcher, but there's no spout in Tekkit.
  22. Is there any way to make it so that plugins that require SpoutCraft client will work with Tekkit?
