Tekkit Launcher jar is a zip file?
Triple_T replied to Triple_T's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
It's a .zip file when you download from the mainpage even though it says .jar on the link, there's nothing to execute the file. Not sure what to do from here -
Hi everyone, today I formatted one of my machines and wanted to get tekkit back on it, upon dowloading the JAR file from the website I noticed the jar is now a zip file and to be honest I really have no idea what to do with it, it just has a few random files I've never seen before. I tried using the EXE launcher but that doesn't work at all, just gives me a terminate application error. I also tried looking around but to no avail if anyone could give me a hand that would be great! Thanks!

Alright, Can't find anything on the net about this but I'm wondering if generators (there own storage aside) are capable of supplying energy to batboxes or MFE units with store thus making a good stockpile of energy to be distributed amongst other machinery. If anyone can help me out with this that would be great. Thanks!

haha yeah! thanks!
-
No, it's really the strangest thing i've seen we can't figure it out

My friend and now myself have both had these problems with not being able to power the induction furnace even when energy is being channeled to it. we're using copper cabling from a batbox which is receiving energy via solar/water mills and all the sudden the furnace stops using the power while the batbox continues to drain. Any insight into this matter would be appreciated Thanks!

Nevermind I figured it out, I was using the industrialcraft wrench when obviously I need the buildcraft wrench seeing as the engine is buildcraft
-
yeah i have two engines beside each other trying to pump from adjacent pipes but one keeps facing the other one :S
-
Hey everyone, trying to rotate an engine with a wrench, someone wanna set me straight as to why this isn't working shift/sneak isn't working either :S.
-
Yeah i noticed there's nothing in the in game recipe inventory for it Thanks anyway

Hey everyone, been having some trouble and i'm wondering if anyone can help. I'm trying to make weed-ex and it won't let me macerate the spider eyes for the grin powder. The macerator is powered and works fine with other materials. Probably an easy problem on my end but if anyone has any insight on this that would be great Thanks!

Alright cool, most machines can be hooked up via batbox so I figured the generator could be an ultimate source for energy. Thanks
-
Another stupidly yes/no answer, but real quick is there any way to channel stored energy from a batbox/MFE Unit to a generator? Seeing as a generator typically acts as a central piece for a lot of machine set ups it would save me a lot of tangling wires if i could channel a high amount of energy to a generator. Thanks in advance

MFE keeps overloading (destroying machinery)
Triple_T replied to Triple_T's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Yeah, i'm actually surprised I missed such a key detail as the machines input cap, but it makes a ton of sense now, thanks guys, i'll definitely get on those transformer upgrades -
MFE keeps overloading (destroying machinery)
Triple_T replied to Triple_T's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Ah key point right there, i figured there was a limit for the machines but i couldn't find it anywhere, Thank you! -
Hey everyone, I know this is probably a very simple fix but alas i'm fairly new with industrialcraft and I can't seem to figure out why my machines keep getting destroyed because of my MSE storage. I'm trying to have it so that it can both store power thats gathered and power machines when it's available. I'm using glass fiber cable and and whenever it's hooked up to my macerator or extractor it blows them up. Help please, again sorry if it's a stupid question.

How do I safely turn mods off in Tekkit?
Triple_T replied to Triple_T's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I found a file called modloader.cfg with the options you describe, I hope thats it. Thanks for the info However will turning these off still be a problem in the future pertaining to compatibility with future updates both minecraft and tekkit? -
Hey everyone, another horribly redundant post I'm sure (apologize in advance). I'm looking for how to safely turn off mods on my Tekkit server while keeping the game stable clean and most of all, playable throughout the months if not years I'll be hosting this particular world. I notice there's folders where each individual mod can be found, but being unsure of this route seeing as there are many folders and files belonging to these mods such as "Forestry" I was wondering if there's a safe albeit obvious alternative way of simply turning these off. Thanks in Advance!

Haha! I share you enthusiasm towards MAC and I managed to fix it by turning off my firewall, so far this has been the only method to work around the problem but if there's a way I could add tekkit to the exception list that would be great.
-
Alright so I know this has probably been asked or clarified before but I couldn't find the topic so I'll ask. Will worlds become incompatible with either newer minecraft or tekkit updates? Will we all have to start new worlds/servers?
-
Alright so I got my tekkit server all set up just recently and I can't get any of my friends to connect. Vanilla Minecraft works fine but in Tekkit they get a "Can't Reach Server" message or "Connection Time out" screen when trying to join. We're using hamachi and like I said vanilla Minecrft works perfectly. Thanks in Advance!
