Why do you think it should work like that? You have to pour out the bottom metals yourself, for example in a casting basin.

Updated my List, too bad that the autor of the Asgard Shield is inactive since July 2013. Nobody knows what happend to him. Mods from my list that are updated now: CoFH Core, Harken Skythe, Xeno's Reliquary Still need update: Custom LAN Ports, Asgard Shield, Legend Gear, OffLawn, Hexxit Gear.

How much RAM did you give Hexxit?

Did you add any other mods to the pack? They might not be compatible. But first try adding more RAM.

Isn't L-CTRL bound to Zoom in Hexxit defaults?

Did you put somethong on the Casting Table before clicking on the Faucet? Try replacing the Casting Table with a Casting Basin and see if it works for creating Iron Blocks. If not, please provide a screenshot of your setup, maybe something isn't okay with it. For example, you can't put the Drain/Faucet in the corners.

Try adding OptiFine.

Well, there's a good wiki and you get the recipes ingame from the nei mod. Just press 'u' with your mouse cursor over an item or set nei to show recipes and click on the item right of your inventory to see how it is crafted.

Did you even install Java? Easiest way to get that batch file to work would be to add the path to your Java binary to your PATH environment variable. Else edit the batch file and change java to full path.

Mini map is client side, so all players have to clear their mini map cache. It might be enough to change the name of the world on the server, try that first.

I had a closer look at the Mod list, the ones not available for 1.6.x are: CoFH Core (btw, what other mod requires this?), Custom LAN Ports (I think this one is one of the less important ones), Asgard Shield (+ Addons), Harken Skythe, Legend Gear, OffLawn, Xeno's Reliquary, and Hexxit Gear. So, either those are updated, too, or they would have to be removed.

What about the people enjoying Tinkers Construct most? If I understand you correctly, you removed it..
