Is it just me or is the server down for everyone?

Might be lag. Where is the server and how good is your connection to it? I have that sometimes even on my own server hosted from my pc but I can open chests and other things.

I play on a server that has RM furnaces enabled, apparently the host found a fix for it somewhere.

I've tried copying and pasting the item i.d's from Phuriousgeorge's pastebin link, but nothing can be locked still. I've made sure that when I pasted it's not "out of line" so to say (I can't think of a good way to explain it I'll post a pic), so I'm not sure where I've gone wrong.

I was having a look in NEI and I saw coffee beans, so I was just wondering how you actually get them.

My brother didn't say anything about a server at all, do I didn't know whether there was one or not. I checked the launcher and clicked use latest dev build an it used the latest 1.2.5, but it didn't actually say dev build at the end so I wasn't sure.

I was just wondering because my brother was on it and buildcraft and EE wasn't on there and just wanted to know.

You said you used an Nvidia graphics card? right-click on your desktop and the menu should come up, click Nvidia control panel and go to Manage 3D settings and it should say preferred graphics processor, click on the drop-down box and select High-Performance Nvidia processor or whatever else it's called. I had absolutely terrible lag, so bad that if I pressed F3 it would cover up my screen until I did this. Now I run at 40-60 FPS constantly!! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick response guys (or girls), I read the wiki, but the only thing it says is "Crop blocks are used by the agriculture system to create hybrid crops.", so does anyone know somewhere else I could find out how to use them or would anyone be willing to teach me?

There is this one plugin I found a while back that made ores appear as stone until players could actually see the ores themselves (as in facing the block without any other non-transparent blocks in the way) which would eliminate the xrayers. I think there might have also been a config that let you give certain block id's this property, so it would be compatible with Tekkit if you could be bothered to add all the blocks, I can't remember the name of it, I'll look it up after school tomorrow!

With the problem you are having about NEI not working, that will be because NEI is set to stay on Recipe Mode by default. If you press R while your cursor is over an item or block on the NEI interface, it will show you the recipe on how to make that item. To change the force recipe mode option, you'll have go to this directory: %appdata%/.techniclauncher/tekkit/config/NEI.cfg and change: lock_recipe_mode=true to lock_recipe_mode=false And that should fix it. He certainly is He looooves games! But I think it'll take a lot of convincing to get him to play Minecraft :(
