I am trying to turn off specific mods as well. For example, I turned off NEI in the modloader.cfg file for the server and when I try to log into the server, the client immediately crashes (Can provide the error log if necessary.) Tried turning it off client side too and got the same problem. Turned them both back on and I can log in no problem. edit: Sorry spoke too soon, I figured out what I needed to do to fix my issue
