  1. Unfortunately I don't play on any Multiplayer servers :(

I'd like to, but my internet despises me when I try to join a server, so I just play on single player producing multiple time sinks of projects, including my new Underground Witchery Fortress. I'm gonna start up a thread with screenshots and a DL link for my map when it's done, and thus far (even in it's unfinished state) it's my favourite build.

But anyway, there's a lot of things that I'd love to do on a Multiplayer server but I just have some restraints/excuses, mainly being internet, school and an unwillingness to start over XD

  2. Turgle that's correct, yeah - the advanced genetics stuff naively assumes you've got 10 hearts and that's it - any more from any other source in your 'true' hitpoints rather than absorption bonus ones (from golden apples etc.) means the math is uses is based on incorrect values and as a result the total ends up higher than expected.  Little improvements keep cropping up (if you 'remove gene' you won't keep your current health anymore so with just advanced genetics there should be no way to boost hearts beyond 15, it's interplay with other mods that's an issue).

Yeah, I just figured that that particular gene was meant for the mod to be played on it's own XD

With the amount of health I have all I need is the Resistance gene and protective armour will become redundant, so I can make a nice suit of Exo Armour.

  3. Well so far (without using the remove gene exploit) I have 55 hearts (on the health bar, this is represented as 10 Red, 10 Orange, 10 Yellow, 10 Green, 10 Blue and 5 Purple).

It was easy really, all I did was get the 10 Red and Yellow Heart Canisters (to get up to 30 hearts) then I used the More Health gene. I know it's a bug but what it does is it takes all of your health, adds it on top and then subtracts 5 hearts.

I never actually saw the Green hearts, it just went straight from Yellow to Purple.

  4. Yeah use Tesseracts, but if you're unable to create those at this point then set up some Waypoints (from the Waypoints mod, it allows you to teleport) or some Enhanced Portals at each place and simply fill up your inventory, backpacks and Strongboxes then go in between. It's a good alternative if Tesseracts aren't an option.

  5. Your best bet of having these mods added is if:

    1) They fit the theme of  Attack of the B-Team (evil science kinda theme).

    2) You attempt to get in touch with one of the members of the B-Team (either Generik or Bdubs) and hope that they get enough of a push for it.

Here's my personal opinion about the mods:

To be honest I don't think MCA would really fit it, Portal Gun maybe (since we've already got Dubstep Guns).

BackTools is more of an aesthetic mod, same with MobDismemberment and Shatter, so if you want them feel free to add them at your own risk.

The Camping Mod I feel would more suit Vanilla, since it is survival-esque.

PokeCycles I personally don't think would fit either, but it is a kind of aesthetic/utility mod.

Also, I see ComputerCraft as a really techy type mod, which is why it is seen in the heavier tech modpacks such as Tekkit.

StarMine could be cool top have your own planets etc, but idk if there would be incompatibilities and the likes.

OptiFine is known to give a buggy reaction with this modpack, and as such it will most likely remain completely optional to anyone who wants to use it.

Moses Mod seems kinda pointless tbh.

And finally, Treecapitator can be done by using a Lumber Axe from TConstruct,

  6. Yeah I noticed the Shower wasn't working either, and the Tanks from OpenBlocks can store any liquids in them, but if you want you can also use the Thermal Expansion Tanks. I don't know if LXP has it's own liquid tank, but the others are still great ways.

Personally I haven't used Liquid XP Mod before so that's why I'm confused about the 2 different forms of Liquid Experience not just being a single form that is universal within both mods.

  7. Would you be able to attach some screenshots to give us a better idea of what your setup is like? You can use imgur.com to freely host your images.

Also, what tanks are you using? Does it say which kind of Liquid XP it is? OpenBlocks XP is different to the Liquid XP Mod's XP.

I should be able to help if I know what kind of XP you need vs what kind you have :)

EDIT: From what I have seen, the XP Bottler (from OpenBlocks) works with Liquid XP from OpenBlocks, but not Liquid XP from the LXP Mod. This means that if your tanks are full of LXP XP then you will have to transform it into OpenBlocks XP.

Trust me, it sounds worse than it is. I will upload screenshots in a minute.

EDIT 2: Here's those screenshots. You want to be using the OpenBlocks XP, which is on the right.

To get this you should use the XP Drain, from OpenBlocks. It attaches to a Tank as shown:

    QNPhCo2.png

However LXP Mod's XP can be converted to OpenBlocks fairly easily. All you need is an XP Shower from OpenBlocks, which can be attached to the Tank, what this will do is slowly drain the XP out of the Tank it is attached to, and turn it into the XP you get from killing a mob. If you place an XP Drain under it, it will put it in the Tank as OpenBlocks XP.

EDIT 3: Never mind Edit 2, I assumed that LXP Mod was affected by the XP Shower just as MFR's Mob Essence is. Seems to me that the LXP XP is gonna be stuck like that unless you use it with other stuff from LXP.

I personally don't understand why they didn't make both Liquid XP's the same liquid. Life would be so much easier.

  8. When I first crashed on the Moon and went back, I found tidbits of my stuff scattered all over the place.

I haven't actually heard of a Rocket blowing up on the Launch Pad, though.

I may try this in Creative to see if I can replicate it, however if it is due to just moving the Fuel Loader then just refrain from removing the Fuel Loader.

EDIT: I tried it twice, made a launch pad, put 2 different rockets on it (1 with no added chests the other with 3, containing assorted items) and neither of them exploded when I moved the Fuel Loader from the Launch Pad (meaning, I broke it with a Diamond Pickaxe and nothing happened).

If I've misinterpreted the details please let me know, but otherwise I don't know why it did that for you. I hope the issue gets resolved real soon.

  9. The Food Plus Mod introduces an item called Caramel, which is used to make Sweets, which is in turn used to make Sweet Tools, Sweet Armour and Sweet Building Blocks.

The official Minecraft Forums Food Plus Mod thread says to install NEI to search for recipes, which is where my issue comes in.

NEI has no recipe for Caramel. So I looked up a list of up-to-date Food Plus recipes, and found out that Caramel is made by smelting sugar. One small issue with this, smelting sugar creates "Sugar Charcoal". I was wondering if there is an alternate, unlisted recipe for making Caramel. I'm just asking because I don't want to go to Creative mode and exchange 1 sugar for 1 caramel, although I can do that since I'd smelt using a Redstone Furnace and I have much much much more power than I have use for.

  10. I'm really getting into power sources at the moment and I've gotta say these forums are giving me lots to try!

I wanna try using Solar Panels to get Magmatics running, but at the moment my main limitation is my lack of Energy Cells XD I've filled 3 Redstone Energy Cells and 1 Resonant Energy Cell, but I have nothing to use all my power on. I'm already powering a room full of Advanced Genetics, MFR and Thermal Expansion machines, including an Auto-Spawner and Grinder.

Maybe I should get into Galacticraft on my new world...

  11. This was left out deliberately (I don't know why).

You should be able to use the carpenters-blocks/painterly flower pot though, it should work with all of those and you can make it look however you want, too (you can even put things other than dirt in it if you want).

Ah I forgot that Carpenter's Blocks added a flower pot. I know there is one added by Tropicraft but I assume it would work with the Tropical flowers and such.
