It requires 5 gunpowder and 4 sand, not the other way around. Unless you're trying to make something like ITNT or a Nuke, in which case it might be disabled in the config. But seriously, if you did mess up the recipe, this is why you look at the wiki or something like that before coming here.

Sounds like you have a Technic loading issue, which should be posted in the Technic bugs section. Also, provide the crash log, so we actually know whats happening.

I don't believe they do, but putting 2 descriptive books in a crafting table will create a new descriptive book.

Technically, it doesn't use blutricity, which might play into why its ok. I'm sure it does use some sort of RP2 code, but it's just a generator that produces either MJ, EU, or blutricity power from vis.

I'm not sure how this will fix things too much, to be honest.
I'd just find out which is worth the least EMC, make one, then transmute things into the cheapest sticky piston so as to save EMC (When I need a sticky piston). It won't fix the system (And I know he's not done or near done, obviously), so he has his work cut out for him.
Like I said, there's a lot more to it. And no, it won't be perfect, but his aim is to decrease that unbalanced part of it. That's also part of why he removed Red Matter, and made it more difficult to actually get a P Stone and really get going with EE3

The balance problem becomes when you can get any amount of scarce material. Pumkins -> Iron breaks the balance of all mods. IC2's UU matter is also bad when it comes to this, as eventualy it's easyer to make UU matter then gather materials, resulting in an exponential curve if people go for it.
Balancing isn't as simple as x = y. Heck, x should have varable value based on scarcity and need.
EE2, however, is unbalanced in itself, it's a fast exponential curve to super creative mode. This might be the desired result or not. It can be disabaled as needed. Theres not point pretending it's balance or the tier of it's abilitys are even in the same ballpark as other mods. It's not. It useds a compeltly diffrent pardime.
Pahimar, the maintainer of EE2 and creator of EE3 knows how unblanced EE2 is. That is why hes changing the EMC system greatly for EE3 (And my source for this is him directly, from his livestream the other night). He said (may not be 100% correct) that he is having the recipe items and such have a dynamic EMC value based on what is contained within the recipe. So while, say, a sticky piston crafted with a slimeball may be worth x EMC, a sticky piston crafted with sticky resin will be worth y EMC (just an example).

Uh, Pahimar, the maintainer off EE, saying how he was making EE3 and started from the ground up. Go check out his Twitch channel. He was livestreaming himself working on the code the other night. He actually was streaming about 2 hours before I edited this. Also, it's a lot of coding, but some of us do find it interesting.

Theres another fairly simple way of doing RP2 to BC that I didn't see mentioned, and that's the transposer to obsidian pipe method. Direwolf20 has this setup in his SMP LP somewhere. This along with the relay are 2 simple and compact ways of doing it without going outside of the 2 mods. I'm not saying this is the best way, but it takes fewer items (I think) than the buffer does.

Its an error with railcraft. Go look around in the Tekkit section if redownloading doesn't fix this. If you still can't find a fix, go post over in the Tekkit bugs section, as that is where this actually belongs.

Personally, I absolutly LOVE EE! I reckon its the best mod ever made. That doesn't mean I hate all the people who don't like it or think its overpowered, because it can be! But it's not about hardcore sitting down for 10 hours straight playing furiously getting your quantum armor or gem armor complete. It's a GAME my friends. Something you casually do in your past time. If you get Quantum or gem armor in 2 hours (and yes I keep track of my play time) then you are obviously a NERD. I've played maybe 4 hours on my survival world? I've got a collector relay condenser and all that, but I don't have gem armor. And now I'm going to get a lot of replies saying 'HAHA NO GEM ARMOR IN 2 HOURS LOSER!' well you know why? I know it's just a game and is only there to spend your free time having fun on. So please guys, remember what your dad would tell you when you lost pacman or whatever and you got angry: "IT'S JUST A GAME SON, GET OVER IT" and btw I'm 13 shows how mature you guys are
and if I had to take sides it's keep EE just dont use it and wih the guy who said why not use cobble stone farms? Which mod makes them into diamonds? EE BABY!!Oh, I love logging in and finding a good laugh on these forums. Bold part is probably the best of it all.

Just a quick query- If i open the game on my laptop while connected to the net so that i make it to the normal minecraft home screen will i then be able to play no problems without internet?
I have a long train trip this weekend and i can quite easily just sleep my laptop between home and the train
It does work. Just be careful to not close it or crash it. By the way, trying to place cobblestone pipe at level 0 will crash the game (in creative mode on a superflat world). Just in case anyone was wondering. So avoid doing that and you should be fine.

How is it sexism? It's just the human body. Penis, vagina, boobs, all just anatomy. The only reason I see for it not to be posted is so that the less mature audience of these forums don't go crazy saying "OMG HE SAID PENIS HAHAHAHA!!!!!!1!1!!!1!"
