Downgrading to java 7 helped me resolve this issue.

I've run into the same problem. I've installed the modpack that I want to play, it registers me clicking "play", loads up the needed data and then does nothing. I've updated Java, and ran it as administrator, but that doesn't seam to do anything. Any ideas?

I've recently tried playing on my tekkit lite server with a friend of mine, And theres no problem with being able to enter the server. But when we try to place items that come with the mod (like a quarry, marble or a steam engine, ect.) they dissapear half a second later. Any idea on how to fix it? Greatly appreciate it.
