what kind of files go in config? (.class, .cfg, etc.)

I put all the folders in one zip folder but it wouldn't let me put empty folders like the config folder in the file. is that okay? I loaded the game and it still had vanilla minecraft

I ran the launcher and it loaded vanilla minecraft without any of the mods i installed. what do i do?

@plowmanplow i set up a zip file and transferred the info in the sub folders. do i still add a "?dl=1" at the end of the address?

I added the "?dl=1" to the end and it loaded some of the modpack but then it showed this message: Error downloading file for the following pack: Joel's Super War Pack Failed to download https://www.dropbox.com/s/n5mxk2ehxwk1o7h/Modpack.rar?dl=1 Please consult the modpack author.

I recently made a modpack and posted it on technic platform. i used dropbox to get my download url or whatever it's called into the modpack profile. when i used the platform url link to try to run the pack on my launcher, it says this: Error downloading file for the following pack: Joel's Super War Pack Failed to download https://www.dropbox.com/s/n5mxk2ehxwk1o7h/Modpack.rar Please consult the modpack author I dont know whats wrong or how to fix it does anyone know?
