  1. Right clicking on the folder and then going properties, there should be a tab permissions. Better to do that on the whole folder. Advanced permissions gives you the ability to change read write per group. But maybe try this one out, try one of the older versions of cauldron + library files like maybe 10 versions before the latest one released. Then try and run the latest cauldron again cause maybe its missing some files it needs.
  2. In the mods directory, have you added "http://files.minecraftforge.net/LegacyJavaFixer/legacyjavafixer-1.0.jar"? I'm sorry, but this is all I could think off. Running a cauldron server myself, but on Linux. And these two issues are the only ones I came across, but your error message that its not able to access it. In Linux, I'd take that more seriously than in Windows, but meh. Maybe check the file perms?
  3. Introduction This modpack adds a large collection of carefully selected mods to maintain a grief-free environment. Build upon version 1.7.10 with compatibility with Spigot / Bukkit. Since I'm confident that the server can take a beating the white listing has been set to open for everyone to join in and take a look. The idea of the server is quite simple, on "Earth" it is a survival PVE and this is the main world. This world is meant to be tidy, clean and absolutely no griefing whatsoever so we needed to "disable" the machines on this specific world that do damage to the environment in a grand scale. The resource world is created for those types of machines. However... to get easy ores comes a risk as this world is PVP enabled. Since we have Dynmap somebody might just be comming after your so steal your machines! This way, the "earth" world stay's intact and doesn't really need a resetting for a long period of time. The server has an economy, with CustomNPC's having item currency and data currency both are interchangeable in the bank of the spawn area. Looking for Beta testers: The modpack is more mature than you might think, I would consider it stable. But that is a small portion of all the things it adds. Some permissions might need updating after the recent server update to 1.7.10, we've added a custom GUI with Mod Macro's that sure needs some testing for userfriendlyness and some other small stuff as we're still developing spawn quests, etc, etc. If you're active, give input of what could be improved, have any suggestions that could improve the modpack and the server will gets more active a staff position would be available for you. Server rules: While we don't have a lot of rules we enforce the ones we have. No griefing / stealing, with the exception of the resource world. Try to fit into the community we have a special room for you in the server called a prison if you cannot. No massive entity farms, your'e only allowed to cage a few of each species because of the ability to automate everything. Use common sense, read rule #2 for more information.. Server information: We're currently just running on the backup server that consumes a little less energy then our main server. And in the long run, we can even hookup the backup server to support the main server. The current server specifications: Operating system: x86_64 Linux 3.17.3-1-ARCH Intel Xeon CPU X3460 @ 2.793GHz 16GB of memory 2x 10k RPM drive set in raid 1. With a NAS to handle server backups and a dedicated database server I think we just do fine running on just the backup server.. Printscreens of our spawn: For more print screens goto the album from imgur here Modpack & Website Information: For a list of mods that we have selected you can visit out website at http://www.spectracraft.eu/help-support/list-of-installed-mods/ or you can check with the licence permissions on our modpack page. To play on our server you only need to install the modpack. For more information on how to do this please visit this page. Other: Reddit, Planet Minecraft, Original Topic
  4. Check in the eula.txt, accept with the terms and try again.
  5. I'm not seeing a suggestion box, so I could be posting in the wrong section and I'm sorry if I am but I just wanted to get this out here. Most issues I've come across is that people just install the modpack and hit play, not even venturing into the options or reading installation guides of a modpack. This causes people to complain, "Help, not launching" or "crashes at load time" without even attempting to read the logs that could reference an out of memory issue. These people are usually players that don't have any technical insight of what's going on in a computer and since these players are the gross of your userbase I have the following suggestion. Give modpack owners the ability to specify the minimum recommended memory required to launch the game per modpack. In the background coding in the Technic Platform when a user is trying to launch a game: - it will detect the computers available free memory and if there is enough space left launch the game without question. - if the user does not have the minimum recommended memory available, display a popup saying that the user might have issues playing the modpack but could still try and launch it. - if the user does have the memory, but its currently not available display a message that the user might have to close other applications. - if the user has a 32b java installed and the recommended memory > 1GB and the user (most likely) has a 64b operating system display a popup that he or she should install the 64 bit version of java. The modpack options could still hold a value overwriting the recommended modpack settings if this has been changed. So I recommend a default setting: "Determined by Modpack", if not set the default setting of 1GB would be in order. I think, this simple suggestion would improve the user experience a lot. Let me know what you guys think,
  6. I'm glad to see you like it ofLegends, and now with the new server update I hope you enjoy it even more! Tons of things have been added and updated with a lot of bug fixes.
  7. Just recently updated the modpack, people would beable to join with just 1GB of memory assigned however 2GB is still advice able.
