Did you guys ever figure it out? It does the same on my mac running Catalina. It's been doing it since the update. But i'm running Java 8 v271. So annoying!

Hey guys, been creating modpacks for a while. Love this easy way to distribute a modpack. This new modpack I'm trying to put together, I'm having a problem with Forge 1.7.10 1614. The universal jar file just won't open on my mac running Catalina 1.15.7. and Java 8 r261. The Forge forums won't even read any post that has anything to do with Forge below 1.15. So how to I get my modpack.jar bin file? When I open the file it tells me The Java JAR file "forge..." could not be launched. Even when I try to launch it through the Terminal, java -jar (location file). that doesn't work either. Is there somewhere I can get a mudpack.jar file for Forge 1.7.10-10.13.4.1614? So it took a day to propagate to the launcher. That shouldn't happen right? But now, I see that there is an update but there is no UPDATE button anywhere on the launcher. Shouldn't there be an easy way to update? I'm dealing with kids. I want it to be easy. Just asking.

Is there a trick to have the launcher see the update? Does it need to be a different dropbox address for it to register? I set a new version, in the version section but it's never seen. It only works if I re install the mod pack.

Just started using the Technic Launcher. I create a mudpack with 170 mods which I've been using for over a year on a private server. When I launch the game through minecraft launcher, I can log into the server but when I launch it through the technic launcher, I can't log into the server. It gives me back a Failed to Login: Invalid Session. (yes, my minecraft launcher is closed meaning that I don't have 2 accounts logged in). Would anyone know what this is all about?
