Being very new to modding, I have no experience with any of them!

I have a great computer and my options are limitless, so I'm not asking for "the best modpack that I can run on a sucky computer." Therefore, I am highly interested in what your favorite modpack is currently? The default modpacks look pretty cool, but they seem outdated since the last update was 8 months ago. Thanks!

In the technic launcher, I have the option of how much memory I can allocate based on which version of Java I have downloaded. Since I have a 64-bit system, I decided to download 64-bit java (replacing the 32-bit java that I previously had). This opened up the option to allocate up to 7 GB of memory! That's 7 times the maximum I previously had. What should I do? Thanks!
