I don't cheat in Minecraft. Going into Creative mode and fixing fucking Creeper damage isn't cheating.

For me it depends on the severity of the damage. Unless it's really catastrophic, I usually just deal with the holes in my walls and build my structures to be creeper-resistant.

If a charged creeper destroyed my stash of diamond blocks I'd be mad, but if there's a hole in my front lawn I just deal with it.
